  1. Just saw on twitter, we're doing Burgundy jerseys on Gold pants tonight. https://twitter.com/Redskins/status/285467128780443648
  2. We've also never worn burgundy pants with that stripe pattern. It looks like someone took an existing picture and just used photoshop to drop gold onto the white in our classic-look uniforms.
  3. I was thinking if might be from pre-game warmups or something. If you google Redskins gold jerseys that's the only picture (of a gold jersey) that comes up.
  4. Is that actually from a game? The background is clearly new soldier field, and the Redskins have played there 2003: white jerseys 2004: white jerseys 2010: white jerseys 2012 preseason: white jerseys
  5. Colleges do the black (and other crazy jerseys) because it helps to stand out when you're recruiting against 120 other schools. Love 'em or hate 'em, the Maryland unis got people talking (and its worked really well for Oregon). I just think using black is lazy because it played out at this point -- doing a black jersey with accents that are your team colors. I'm glad the Redskins have never stooped to that. It's fine for the Steelers because black is one of their colors, but I NEVER want to see a black jersey with B&G accents. Hideous. EDIT: And for the record, I'm not that big on the Georgia or Boise St black jerseys either.
  6. Can we all at least agree that the Redskins should never try to work black into their uniforms? It's the lamest fashion trend in sports and I think it's lazy. Personally, I'm cool with the gold pants when we wear the burgundy jerseys, but the white jersey w burgundy pants combo is sacred.
  7. I've always thought it was "pal-offs" but now that you bring it up, "pay-loffs" actually has a better ring to it...
  8. I actually like the Burgundy pants with the White jerseys -- its our classic look and what you'd see the Redskins wearing in almost every highlight from the 80s/90s (and its what we wore for all but 1 Super Bowl appearance). Why mess with that? I'm ok with the gold pants when we're wearing the Burgundy jerseys. We don't have quite the history there.
  9. That has to be some of the best self-ownage I've ever seen. The person driving couldn't be more deserving of it.
  10. Wow the scary part is that supposedly the NFL is putting their "better" replacement crews on the primetime games to avoid these sorts of situations.
  11. My Google-fu is strong today. There is a legitimate reason for it (I don't want to spoil the reason so I'll just post the link): http://www.slate.com/blogs/browbeat/2010/06/07/the_story_behind_the_recycled_newspaper_prop.html
  12. LOL, I've spent way too much time in that Panera. Still, this makes me feel better for myself for returning the phone I found at the train station yesterday.
  13. When I was in college there was a park I'd run through that had tons of geese (poo everywhere btw). They'd actually walk away kind of discreetly when I ran by, but they absolutely tortured the ducks in the pond there. Geese and Monkeys are easily my two least favorite animals. (If you've ever been around monkeys in nature, you know why. They steal anything you put down, their young will walk right up to you out of curiosity and mother will follow and try to attack you.)
  14. I've never caught a foul ball but I've been near a few and stupidity of grown adults around a baseball amazes me. I watched two guys almost knock a guy out of his wheelchair b/c the ball rolled under it once. I went to a Sox-O's game at Comiskey last year and the woman behind me whacked me in the head trying to get a ball that landed a good 5 feet in front of me. The only ok story I have was in the bleachers in St. Louis, when a home run hit a young girl 2 rows in front of me. The guy sitting directly behind me caught the ball but he saw what'd happened and he voluntarily gave the ball to the little girl. (Even in the case of the woman in the picture, I get that the adrenaline rush of potentially catching the ball made her do what she did, but I'm amazed she didn't immediately realize what she'd done).
  15. That video was funny, but then the soccer scene happened and everything just got elevated to a different level
  16. I'd be really offended if I hadn't stolen it myself.
