didn’t realise about the medical flag….. depending on the extent of that, if we did end up picking Daniels, a slight move up for Thomas would be an optionon my radar. We still have plenty of strong options at OT on day 2.

Brandon Coleman and Caedan Wallace - we brought both of those in didn’t we, amongst a few others. Coleman looks fairly intriguing to me.

Absolutely. That’s what I see with Maye. He just looks ‘off’ in the pocket on a consistent basis. That’s doesn’t translate well.

Yeah, I’m all for a long term strategy but it’s blatantly clear that drafting a QB is about as tough an evaluation as you get. Adding too much context to 7+ years down the line seems wildly unrealistic to me. Too many variables.

There is talk of a first rounder. Jax and Pitt especially. However, balanced with his contract situation, SF might have to lowers their expectations. Aiyuk, Mclaurin, Dotson, plus we could still dip into the loaded WR draft pool later on. Well I not sure that’s the most professional approach from either the team, or prospect…

My opinion is that we can all interpret what’s being said however we want. All indications are that we’re picking #2. But if you want to believe that we haven’t picked our QB yet, then the respective prospects have strong followings from other teams. So for example, if we end up favouring JJ then a creative FO would think about trade options given the vast amount of interest in both Daniels and Maye. There is a massive difference in value comparing the #2 and #4 draft picks.

Actually I’m not. I am fine to roll with whatever QB we take at whatever selection. I’m just not totally closed off to potential outcomes like you are.

You really should be more open minded Peters rolled out quite a few vanilla statements in that presser.

Seen a mock that had the Bears move up from #9 for MHJ. I can see them strongly considering a top WR to add to that already stacked group. Caleb Williams and MHJ would be the definitive way to win the draft right.

Honestly, if we aren’t sold on Maye, or Daniels even, a creative FO would trade out then back up. They’d find the trade partners IMO. You must have some kind of alert set up. Once a Maye to elsewhere post happens, bing, you swoop to redress the balance.

Just for clarity, I don’t think he did say that. It was a more generalised comment as to how some guys were more magnetic compared to others. It wasn’t a specific comment on ‘one’ prospect IMO Edit - and he didn’t even reference QB, Newmark was talking about the wider group…
