It's a very complicated decision, because undoubtedly Ron and front office staff understand how a loss could potentially help the team moving forward, with better draft position. -

No, I'm from Chantilly, VA. I did, occasionally eat at Texas Roadhouse chain restaurants, in my youth, however. I've always loved that term. Mostly for the dichotomy between well-intentioned temperament vs censorious, criticism. Nothing describes the conflict of human nature better than "Bless your heart, but....."

Of course. Gameday message board conversations are entirely reactionary based. Even, if the team you're rooting for, wins consistently, there's always individuals that are questioning isolated third down play calls.

What else do you call? Dominant pass rush, with a QB that can't throw 20 yards down the field. What other outcome would you expect?

Unfortunately, that's accurate. But every single QB on an NFL roster should be capable of throwing a 9 route towards the sideline, period.

Sure, but what's his role? he doesn't possess the twitchy agility of a JD McKissick 3rd down back. His best attribute is running straight, downhill. And I Imagine, the argument from the Washington offensive staff is, put the ball in the hands of your best athletes. He's one of them.

Well, I slightly disagree. But arguing the semantic definition of "cognitive dissonance" in a gameday thread on a football message board is certainly not the right forum for such discussions. Honestly, I was just trying to elicit a response from Kdawg. His posts are fantastic. Looking forward to the "next day" discussion thread that will follow this game.

I still dont understand why offensive coordinators don't call more plays that mandate throws to receivers on 9 routes. Guaranteed PI or reception. Worst case, incompletion.

Because we're biased human beings. Cognitive Dissonance in real time. We know, the disparity, but its more comfortable to dismiss blame to others. The Ref's are a good target.
