  1. No, it's not all on him. To me Wegner deserves most of the blame, no excuse for the effort or lack thereof from the team today. This was our best chance to advance to the quarterfinals in 5 years and we've dug ourselves a huge hole ahead of the second leg. This team needs a new, fresh perspective from a new manager.
  2. **** Giroud. Most pathetic excuse for a center forward.
  3. I definitely saw this coming, I had a bad feeling about today's game. We had a chance to put Palace out of their misery this past weekend in the 2nd half, and what do we do? Coast and try not to lose the lead, which we only did thanks to the right post. I'm over seeing Giroud pound the ground or hold his head because he can't finish within 4 to 8 yards in front of the goal. It seems like this same story happens year in and year out, it gets old after a while. Yep, that should do it. At least I don't need to watch the second leg in 3 weeks.
  4. Looks like another round of 16 exit for us once again. I'm so sick of this ****. Wegner needs to go ASAP, I'm tired of a top 4 finish only to be bounced in the round of 16 the next year.
  5. Swansea downs ManU twice this season, and damn Arsenal never makes it easy, just like the Redskins. Thank god for the post or else we would have dropped 2 points, even though we didn't deserve the win and 3 points at Crystal Palace, but I'll take it and a spot over United in the top 4.
  6. Come on Swansea, 10 more minutes. You can do it!
  7. Cortouis is a world class keeper, but the best in the world distinction would have to go to Neuer for me. Also, Lloris may be the best keeper in the EPL, slightly above Cortouis & De Gea. I would take either keeper at Arsenal in a heart beat, hell I'm hoping we can get Ochoa this summer to replace Szczesny when he leaves.
  8. Then Rooney got rewarded a PK for simulation, which ultimately sealed Preston's fate. Preston got jobbed hard today, I hope we beat the **** out of United in the quarterfinals.
  9. 2 BS goals for United, wrap up this game. Hopefully they don't have this same luck against Arsenal in a few weeks.
  10. I'm still hoping that Khedira will be with Arsenal for this upcoming season, he would be the biggest acquisition of this offseason IMO for us.
  11. Whether you enjoy fantasy football or not, The League which was on FX and moved to FXX is a must watch comedy.
  12. http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/soccer-dirty-tackle/espn-reports-clint-dempsey-transfer-seattle-imminent-224015059.html I'm surprised there's been no word on here of this move yet. I wonder what went wrong, because just a year ago Dempsey was stating he wanted to play in the CL, and now he's downgrading by coming back state side to play for the Sounders. Hopefully some clarity will come forth during his press conference on Monday.
  13. As the reviews should be. Johnson has been horrendous in the few matches he has covered. The only good thing coming from NBC taking over EPL and other soccer coverage is that means less matches that covered by Gus.
  14. Only one problem, the MITB is good for the Heavywegiht Championship only, not the WWE Championship.
  15. What really stands out about that goal is the pass by Dani Alves to Messi with the outside of his foot with such precision is ridiculous.
  16. Well as an Arsenal fan, this game appears to be over in the 23rd minute and there goes year number 9 without a trophy and IMO Wenger has to go. Not so much for not being able to get past Bayern, one of the best clubs in Europe, but for his stupidity this past weekend in the lost vs. Blackburn in the FA Cup. Arsene rested his main guys for 75% of the match thinking that his side should roll over the Rovers, which didn't happen and he cost Arsenal their best chance of winning a trophy this season. Honestly I can't see Arsenal winning the Champions League this year, our defense is terrible and has proven so far this season and even today so far. Regardless of today's or next month's outcome vs. Bayern Munich, Wegner has to be shown the door. I'm tired of settling for a top 4 finish in the BPL being a success and getting shown the door in the round of 16 in the Champions League.
  17. Walcott was tremendous with the hat trick and an assist, & Giroud should have had a hat trick in less than 20 mins, but was denied by the crossbar. Newcastle United is in serious trouble right now, after a great season last year.
  18. This is huge, bring in our C squad and win in Mexico. Hopefully this win will build momentum for the upcoming World Cup qualifying games.
  19. You couldn't be more wrong. US Soccer is anything but fine before college. The grassroots programs/academies that are needed and slowly being put in place have been non-existent over here. US kids have been taught the fundamentals of the game throughout the years mainly by parents who have no clue or have no business coaching the game. MLS and some of its clubs have started academies that target talented kids at a young age and develop their skills properly so they'll be ready to play the game at a high level. Which most select/travel and definitely high school programs don't come close to doing. MLS is improving as a product as a result of more and more MLS players going overseas to take the next step in their career. Will the MLS ever be on the same level as the EPL, La Liga, Bundesliga, etc...but overall MLS has become more popular and a much better product than it was when it first started in the mid 90s.
  20. If MLS was smart they would throw bags of money at Drogba to get him to come play over here. Drogba, especially after Saturday, is one of the most well known football players and if MLS can get him to play here that can only help not only MLS's popularity but the sport's popularity as well.
  21. If this does end up going to PK's does Robben get a second chance to redeem himself?
  22. Oh ****, Drogba just one ups Muller with an even better header!
