going in the half with the lead isnt bad, but it means nothing. what i'd like to see in the second half: - Chris Humphris get some burn. He's another big-bodied defender and his jumper can be lethal - Brad Beal needs to keep shooting. he's getting great looks, they're just not dropping. also like him to be a little more aggressive, go to the rim and get Derozan in foul trouble - Gortat to play defensively sound and not pick up this third. also go to the rim when he gets the ball not shoot jumpers - Pierce needs to keep up everything he's doing - MAKE YOUR DAMN FREE-THROWS that's all i have for now

idk whether Paul Pierce is the slowest player in the league making moves off the dribble, or he's incredibly smooth and composed lol He could be a huge x-factor this game. Also, Otto may not hit lots of shots and have a few defensive lapses, but i love his hustle and effort

Beal really needs to get his head into the game. he's even been off the last few games leading up to the playoffs.

Wiz need to get it in second gear. they dont seem to be playing scared, more like lack of focus. I need Wall, Beal, and Gortat to get in the zone. Nene has played well but there just seems to be a lot of lackadaisical play and only doing enough to stay close/not get blown out.

John Wall has to be one of the best in the league after Lebron at tracking down players for the block. No other guards in the league do that. One of the other small things that will always put Wall ahead of the likes for Kyrie Irving for me

i swear the Wizards are allergic to being .500 or over. i was genuinely shocked to hear that we were over .500 for the first time a few weeks ago since maybe 2008 (i think it was) and the first time in Wall's career. some nights i think this team has a chance to make a run for consecutive wins and has a chance to get out of the first round, but, no. they are such an up-and-down team. also, i know Otto was out for many weeks with his hip injury, but i dont think he's going to translate well to the NBA/help this team. he needs to put on some weight, and when he is out there, he looks really spastic. im just going to go ahead and call him a bust. i thought it was a dumb pick for the Wiz to make in the first place by bringing the "Georgetown star back home". no. we should have drafted Michael Carter-Williams or Oledipo. i get annoyed seeing MCW tear it up in Philly while Porter sits. the front office and their player personnel people leave a lot to be desired.
