  1. Do we still think NFL players or guys leaving college never do roids? From what I learned years ago there are some that can be out of your system in 2 weeks.
  2. Caleb is 6-1? Even if he truly is 6-1 its too short for a 1OA IMO. Of course I said the same thing about 1st round cornerbacks being under 167.
  3. Forgot about the league owing Detroit... I should have bet the money line ALL IN
  4. League wide going for 2 is 55%. What about the % success rate for a fade? Sure seems less than 50% to me.
  5. Rivera and JDR would NEVER blitz in that situation. Never.
  6. Do we want Detroit to lose to lessen our tampering penalty?
  7. YOU GOTTA GO FOR 2. Now you gotta go for 2. Analytics don't factor in ****ty low % play calls.
  8. Our new head coach just got punked on first down. I now want Slowik.
  9. As a GM you simply cannot **** up your first round pick. The cap hit for failure is the gift that keeps on giving. If we are forced to play him I have to assume he is going to be best utilized in zone / outside - telegraphing our D call. Regardless how he is used as an OC I would target him. No joke I would have his eyes checked with all the dropped INTs #LosEyes I think his only INT likely hit the ground but there wasn't a good camera view. https://overthecap.com/salary-cap/washington-commanders
  10. I could really use 2 catches by Nico to close out the day
  11. Howell to Harrison! Touchdown, Washington Red Wolves! Howell is not a write off in my book and shouldn't be for anyone that fully digests the amount of dysfunction he endured, amid 3 straight years of new playbooks. He almost had the year I expected from him less maybe ~15 sacks 8 INT (edit which is almost expected with his insane amount of pass attempts). Expectations are important to keep in check yet we most all fail to do so which heavily shape opinions. With nothing more than 50 years of watching QBs play in their first full season of play, I predict Caleb will struggle to meet expectations of him. Writing is on the wall for us needing a QB sure but I want Howell retained as insurance despite the drama fans perceive from his presence behind Caleb or Maye. Look at 2nd half all star Jordan Love. Some simply need more time. Or, a full compliment of young stud WRs like Green Bay has. LOL at the Jets paying more for Lazard than Love's fleet of current WRs. That's a question I want asked - will we even consider Harrison?? From Howell, of course. MEGA Late edit. Our collective WR play was HORRIBLE this year. We can blame EB but they didnt do Howell many favors. Any favors.
  12. Nah you are wrong. I don't know much about him, but do know he is not the one the masses are told is the best QB to draft. On a hope they don't get it wrong this year once again. Its interesting the bust article doesn't touch on his lack of height which is one of the biggest red flags for me for a 1OA QB. Its odd that consensus always seems so strong on who the best QB is. Like the big names find safety in numbers. But then we poll knowledgeable people here and they don't agree, I would like to think expert consensus on the "best" QB should be split FAR more often than it is with the high bust rate of the position.
  13. I am refusing to buy into Caleb with 99.4% of experts yelling from rooftops he's the best QB in the draft. Fool me once shame on me from drafts past. He seems more the best athlete? and targeting athletes hasn't really worked out here. I hope Chicago is listening to all the experts. This popped up in my feed today. https://firstroundmock.com/2024/01/former-nfl-scout-caleb-williams-is-a-bust/
  14. I don't mind a trade down in round 5 or 6 when we are damn sure the guy we want will still be there. What we never hear about - a trade down and then the guy we really wanted got snagged and we take a consolation pick and pretend like it wasn't a failure. I wonder how much a diamond in the rough panning out is a result of excellent coaching... post draft. Our shiny new GM should land total studs with our existing picks. If he can add an extra stud late round sure go for it but I am not on board on selling our #2 OA.
  15. DO NOT TRADE UP on a prayer one QB is way better than the other. Do not trade down and water down the talent of our picks. We have plenty of decent picks already. Is this the all time consensus deepest draft in every round? No - then don't trade down.
  16. I’m just going to start talking as if Caleb is already on our team. One of us will be right.
  17. Philly will axe their coach because their QB can't handle being blitzed. Perfect. Seems like a decent enough coach to me - not great but good. They need to implement a very complex and overly complicated blocking scheme next year to shelter Hurts. Who will eventually be forced to run more to counter it ala Josh Allen.
  18. I am old enough to remember PRs wouldn't fair catch a ball inside the 10. Now anything outside the 5 is FC. Even though we have seen gunners fail miserably for decades to prevent touchbacks with any consistency.
  19. Sucked the cool and energy right out of big Douche by opting to receive.
  20. Dallas fans are already conceding 3 points in their heads.
  21. I love seeing the 2 times a season a team wins the toss and elects to receive. Ice Dak and show no fear. When for decades it was almost always receive.
  22. Many years ago Skins QBs had radio problems to start games - consecutive games. Yes I am still bitter.
