  1. Sounds pretty stupid to say that he's fighting like a *****. He fought a very smart and solid fight and to go in and throw with Rampage would have been ridiculous. Just because the guy you wanted to win lost, doesn't mean you have to disrespect the other guy for fighting a smart fight.
  2. Rashad is just a vastly more intelligent fighter. Rampage caught him once and then let him recover. Rashad easily won the decision.
  3. Very smart fight by Rashad, it would be stupid of him to just go out and throw with Rampage. 2-0 Rashad.
  4. Bisping has to be one most easily unlikeable fighters in MMA. Every time I see him I have to load the Bisping/Henderson fight, watching it makes me smile.
  5. I like Rogan, think he's great on calling UFC fights and I even like his standup. I wasn't hating on the guy, just think he overreacted, though he's basically the fan who gets to comment on the fight so I kind of understand it. But c'mon? greatest ever? I mean the guy was just standing there taking shots but not really getting rocked or hurt. It's not like he was knocked down and recovered or anything. Like I said....great comeback, but it's absurd to call it the greatest ever just because the heat of the moment.
  6. Yeah, it was just the angle I think. He was already turning his head away when he caught him and there wasn't any give in his neck so it rocked him.
  7. Rogan is losing his mind in real time. It was a really nice comeback knockout but greatest comeback of all time? c'mon Joe...
  8. Someone must have yelled "Free cake for the winner!" just before that happened.
  9. Russow the human punching bag....it's kinda like watching Homer Simpson fight Drederick Tatum.
  10. "Never leave it in the hands of the judges...." It's said really often on The Ultimate Fighter and by Dana White in general, but that fight is a prime example. Why are these people judges if they're the only 2 (1 said Brilz won) in the building that thought Lil' Nog won that? It's pretty absurd.
  11. Yeah, unfortunately for Rogers it seems that he may have just caught Arlovski on his way down from being a champion fighter and that earned him the Fedor fight. Then against Fedor he had the fight of his life and caught him with a couple good shots but talent ended up winning out. I think he would still beat Kimbo though just because of how bad Kimbo's knees are at this point (though I doubt Rogers would take advantage of it, he would just stand and throw which is Kimbo's dream opponent), but really it seems that's about the level of competition he is at right now.
  12. Rogers ground game isn't even in the same sport as Fedor's. It would be an interesting fight though. Alistair hasn't really fought anyone on Fedor's level. The last 4 fights he had in Pride he lost every one of them. He's just been beating up on bums the past 3 years. Rogers was his best fight in a long long time.
  13. Yeah, the more I think about it the more I agree with your logic that it's designed to be more early finishes and more entertaining fights. Strikeforce needs something badly, their last card was one of the most boring series of fights I've seen in MMA in a while. The main card was nothing but full length one sided decisions. I guess the first 2 minutes of the Hendo fight was entertaining but he really looked his age after that.
  14. So you think not a single one of those four fights go to the judges, and three of them end in round 1? I mean from a fan's perspective it would make for an exciting card, but it seems rather unrealistic. It's possible but very unlikely though two of those fights are horrible mismatches based on Vegas odds.
  15. I think the general feeling among most fans in a Shogun/Silva fight would be that most would cheer for Shogun because of how Silva has behaved in his last few fights, but if they were betting on it, the smart money goes on Silva. Like some other people have pointed out, his ability to get out of the way of punches and counter back is unmatched.
  16. That's about the only Silva fight I'd think about paying to watch. I think they need to put Shogun up against someone else before trying the Shogun/Machida 3 fight.
  17. For a second I thought the ref (Dan Miragliotta) was going to slam Daley for doing that (I think he thought about it too) but then realized he better not. =p
  18. haha...Yeah I noticed that too, when Machida's arms fell to his side Shogun began to stand up without the ref jumping in. Glad to see Shogun win so decisively after he got robbed in the first fight.
  19. To be honest it seems like Tygart has an agenda for the USADA to take over all drug testing for athletics in the US and anyone involved to be subject to their rules and guidelines at all times. (They are not a government agency). He's not worried about the three weeks before the fight, he's worried about what happens before then? How far before then? He doesn't really say (edit: 2 months is mentioned), perhaps I'm making too much of an assumption, but if the three weeks leading up isn't good enough, then it's going to be months and months before a fight. Following that logic you almost have to have access to a fighter year-round. I'm fine with stricter testing than Nevada currently has, but how far do you take it?
  20. Right, he's agreed to blood test before and after, just simply not before the fight that day, but after the fight. Tygart is good for a quote, but he's not a doctor as far as I'm aware, simply the CEO of a non-profit corporation. While I agree that the USADA does have a better testing program than the NSAC, they're far from perfect.
  21. Also, Manny doesn't react well to blood being taken. Some people have real issues with having blood drawn, not having to do with the sight of blood but some biological thing. My father for example served in combat in Vietnam, has no problem with the sight of blood, he's what I'd describe as a pretty tough guy, but when he goes to the doctor for a blood test, he nearly passes out every time. Manny said he's fine with blood being taken at the press conference and right after the fight, and also giving urine samples directly before and after the fight. The only stipulation he won't agree to is having his blood drawn the day of the fight itself (remember, he's giving a urine sample that day). If you listen to Mayweather and people in his camp they'll have you thinking it a big cover-up and it's simply not. If you put an asterisk next to Manny's name, then you have to do it to every fighter that has came before him, because they took the same (or lesser) tests before fights.
