But it is not always as black and white like one thinks it should be. There is still the possibility the Bears could go Maye and don't want to fiddle with another running QB and one that has diva attitude(s). If that happens the question is will the Commanders then go Williams or trade the #2 spot for a haul to a team who is willing to sell the farm for him?

You are on an island all by yourself and waiting for a rescue ship to go by 😂 Howell was the talk on every media outlets when he was setting records and was number 1 in passing yards during the 1st half of season.... The team as a whole hit a brick wall when we started playing better defenses with our same poor OL and play calling. As a coach you can't ding Howell for that. A proper valuation will determine if running it back with Howell makes more sense since he already has the experience and needs proper coaching and protection. He is still a top 10-12 QB in my book.

I just happen to stumble on that clip before reading your post and saw in that play there was no safety help. It was close enough for me from a QB in college before he got to the NFL. If you watch the clips from last year of Howell he was doing many of the things he did in college, some of the good stuff that he was able to translate to the NFL. It has nothing to do with standard but the ability of a said QB to take some of the talent they have in college to the NFL. I was just hung up on your, it doesn't translate to the NFL bit. Why do we even go back and forth on these prospects if it doesn't even going to translate to the NFL?

And I didn't understand your point as well. If a QB sees that the defense is giving his WR wide open space and exploits that, even if it is on a 1st read - like Howell did in that video and even directed his WR - how is that not a good trait to have in the NFL. As a QB you take advantage of that and turn that into a 75 yards TD pass like in that Howell's video. Why wouldn't that translate to the NFL? All QB love to see no safety help whether in college or in the NFL.
