  1. I think the Josh Allen (lite) comparison for Drake is pretty spot on. Big, strong armed QB's that have a natural ability to make plays, but needed some time to improve as a passer. Drake doesn't have the same obscene athleticism as Allen, though very few do, but the similarities are there. As a regular guy football fan, Maye excites me the most as a prospect. I think he has a higher ceiling than Daniels or McCarthy, even if he might have a lower floor (slower release, spotty accuracy at times). I do trust our competent staff and talented GM to be able to develop a QB properly, so I don't mind if we draft a more raw prospect at #2. Not a fan of Daniels overall. The slight frame would give me nightmares every time he takes a shot. I do love his lightening fast release though. The ball pops out of his hand quick. Maybe it's just that he reminds me of RG3, and that PTSD hasn't healed.
  2. Maye doesn't need to drink water. He's 6'4 and built pretty solidly. I don't doubt he's about 230, which is his billing. Jayden Daniels weighing in at 210 at the combine though. I really have my doubts about that...
  3. It's a real photo that hasn't been messed with. A YouTube video from a popular "football doc" chimed in, and said the reason why the point of his elbow looks weird is probably due to an inflamed bursa sac that had accumulated fluid. The rest of the weirdness of the photo comes down to angle and the lighting/shading around the bicep. There's also photos of Daniels having his elbow taped in subsequent games; likely because he had his fluid drained. Here's another photo from the same game, just a different angle. See that his bicep is not completely separated from the rest of his arm and looks like it's trying to stab his elbow.:
  4. If I'm Adam Peters, the only thing preventing me from drafting Drake Maye is that @Llevron just doesn't see it. For the life of him, he cannot see the raw power coursing through Maye's veins.
  5. Kind of an oddity that this graphic shows Maye struggling so badly throwing to his right, when he's a right-handed QB. Is there an explanation for this? Was he throwing to Carlos Rodgers over there or something?
  6. I'm certainly no NFL scout, but Daniels doesn't look the part to my eyes. Fast release, and has decent straight line speed, but there are a lot of areas of concern. The RG3-clone takes might be overblown, but it's hard to not see the similarities. Fast, but not necessarily agile or shifty. Slight frame that'll get beaten into submission quickly, and can't protect himself if his life depended on it. He seems to look at his first read, and if it's not there, take off running. He thrived with a loaded LSU roster, but only had 1 good year of production. I just don't get the hype really. I'll trust AP's decision making in whatever they decide to do, but Maye/Williams as a prospect seem far above Daniels to me.
  7. "abdcskins" has an a, d, and s in it. You know who else has those same exact letters in their name? Adam Peters. Coincidence? Doubtful.
  8. I like Sam. I think he had all the tools he needs to succeed. I'm glad he's going to a solid org with great facilities and a very good GM. It'll give him the best chance to make it. Good luck, Sam.
  9. My guess is Chase is JAG. Great talent, but habitual underperformer who never realizes his potential. He's 24 and about to be on his third team. He'll be out of the league in 2-3 years.
  10. I don't find it intense. The guy has legitimately been terrible his entire career. Last year was his "career" year, and he threw for a whopping 2,500 yards, and a 46 QBR. Nothing about him screams "must have". He's averaging 166 passing yards per game in his career. That's horrendous. A few weeks ago when I heard "rumors" of him fetching a 2nd round pick, I nearly had a laughter stroke.
