  1. My girlfriend just saw this while I was in the shower and wrote a note that said "this is you Jamison".
  2. Also, with the Alt, have somebody raise the throttle while you are checking the out put and hit it with a hammer as well(don't kill it) and see if something is loose in there. It really sounds like a bad alt or connection.
  3. Is it a remote reservoir? If the leak if from the actual pump, it's not hard either. I believe it's 4 15mm bolts, but am not sure. If I remember correctly, the pump is on the bottom left of the motor and that would make it hard, but you may be able to get to the bolts from the fender well. Been a while since I've tinkered with a Toyo.
  4. Did you check the other ends of the ground? Engine block or sub frame.
  5. Um, right by the park. That one, yes, ah, uh ummmm.
  6. Isn't Buford now sporting a Sheetz sig?
  7. Abbott's, Beamish, Youngs Oatmeal or Double Chocolate Stouts, Chimmay, Guinness, Murphy's, Schmithwicks, Sam Freaking Smiths anything, Rougue Red and Dead Guy ale. There is so many wonderful beer available. If I have to drink cheap, I drink Bud, PBR or Schlitz. If you are going cheap or for the quantity, go as cheap as you can(not Golden Anniversary cheap, but cheap).
  8. I LOVED the throwbacks last year. I wish they were our regular uniforms. I also like the white at home.
  9. He should have hit the guy with his walker. Dusty Rhodes is younger than him.
  10. YBI has one injector, I knew that. OLS It's late.I'll take a look, thanks guys.
  11. Injected unfortunately for me, I get the old stuff. I'll check the injector out. How do I tell which one needs replacing?
  12. Could it be the ground? Where is the sound coming from?
  13. Damn, really? I didn't even think of that. Why do you say that?
  14. SS, my girlfriends 86' Cherokee 4.0L, 5 spd will not start after a short trip when turned off. It has spark and fuel whenever I get to look at it after it happens like it knows I'm coming. My first thought is fuel filter, but maybe just rust in the tank. It happens more frequently when the gas tank is low.
  15. That's a shame, because the older models are all fantastic. 4.3L Auto, lasts forever, good power and fuel mileage.
  16. Thanks for the update. Unfortunitely, I know all about the kit. $625 from Snappy. Mostly a 5.4l problem, but there in all the Ford trucks. Aluminum heads and 3 threads for the plug, not so much like an iron head with 7 threads. Good work Ford, that'll hold. I wonder what they saved on that. It's also a wear item and never been recalled.
  17. Perception is reality, right? People also think Idol is the greatest show ever on t.v. (Cherokees are great, as long as they don't have the Quadra junk box)
  18. I will never for the life of me understand how people think German cars are reliable. Fun to drive, sure, but reliable (or cheap and easy to fix) is beyond me. One thing I think anybody with a tiny bit of automotive knowlege can agree on is, how in the hell is Saab still a company? That is the mark for "what in the hell were you thinking" design.
  19. I agree with you on the Chevy thing. I always carry a spare coil and the tools to fix it. All but 2 of them take less than 5 minutes and the other two are under the fuel rail. Thanks for the tips SS.
  20. Boy do I feel like an ass. Not loc tight, anti seize. I wouldn't loc tight my plugs in. I only had to do one Heli Coil and Snappy makes a tool for $600 that makes it a breeze. I then sold it to my old boss for $400 and can use it when needed. I meant the plugs just loosen up on occasion. I hear tapping and then pop, plugs out. It happened on my old Ford as well. As far as the advice on the coils. I knew it. That is what everybody says, I was just hoping there might be a way around it to prevent it from happening again. I can't stand the new Fords.
  21. My milage isn't bad, close to 20 mpg, which is fantastic for a full size. Thanks, kind of what I was thinking. Another question. After I did my plug change, the plugs seem to come loose. I used loc tight and torqued them to specs, but still I'll hear that tapping every once in a while and bang, out comes a plug. What can I do? I already had to do one helli coil, stupid 3 threads in aluminum heads, thanks Ford. I don't like Ford either anymore. This truck has made me a life long Chevy fan now. Also, and this one is important. The Coils love to die on me. I have replaced them about 10 times now, over 3 years. Why will they not last? It seems they like to build moisture up before quiting. I don't know how to seel them up and would worry about building to much heat if I did. I have tryed a little/ a lot of electrode grease with no results. Anything for that one?
  22. Fair enough. But I would think anything about a car would depend on the car, basic info, basic stuff. So the guy who thinks we should do away with cash thinks I'm kind of a nut, interesting.
  23. and what next, should I then leave all the religious conversations to Zguy and techboy? Or the political conversations to Chommie and Sarge? No way. Don't get your car serviced and prove me wrong. It would also help saying what kind of car you have rookie.
