John Wall is a god. Been years since I've seen a player on any of my teams take over games the way he has been. Insane.
Second best player in the east, easily.
-
Not going to win with nothing from Beal, Jennings, and Bogdonovic. Defensively something needs to change, can't keep switching and giving IT easy buckets on Morris, Porter, and Gortat. Super disappointing loss.

Because Wall is spent. Watch him, he's got no lift and his foot steps are heavy between plays. He's tired because his back court mate hasn't carried his weight. Wall's had to create everything for everyone.
For sure, definitely agree with that completely. The bench is going to be our undoing.

Another ****ty game ending possession. I don't understand with the Celtics in the penalty why you shoot an awful fading jumper.

Deserve to lose this game, embarrassing 4th quarter performance offensively.
-
That block -> layup sequence from Wall was one of the nastiest plays I've ever seen in the playoffs. Holy ****.
Wish these other guys would step up like Wall is.

This is Bulls game is hideous.

Outside of some of the egregious offensive fouls, I really light Utah's screen game. They set screens, and the trail the ball handler with the screener effectively sealing out the man completely.
They're basically the Seahawks of the NBA. Might get a few fouls called on them, but you know the refs aren't going to call it every time down the floor. Good strategy.

No Goberts in the East. Utah is just a real tough matchup.
True, Utah would probably be a top 3 seed in the east.
-
Let Utah play their game all night with little adjustment, too bad. Still not sure of this team come playoff time, up the defensive pressure and our bigs wilt and our guards start making unforced errors.
-
Oubre keeps impressing.
Jennings needs to realize he's not John Wall, pushing the pace but has no where near the good decision making ability. Just slow it down..
-
Gobert is a true game-changing big man. Love the way he plays. Gortat and Mahinmi can't do anything with him down there.

35-13 in the 4th.
Flip the switch or mother of all tanks?
Little bit of column A, little bit of column B.
Interested to see how they compete tomorrow night.

This would be a pretty unacceptable game to lose. Let's go, guys...
-
Refs have been pretty bad both ways, glad our guys are keeping their composure.
Good to see Porter and Oubre co-existing together. I think that is going to be critical in the playoffs.

I'm on record as being skeptical of hiring Brooks, but damn has he proven me wrong. I love that he's in every huddle, designing plays. That was one of my biggest gripes with Randy.
Great win. EG definitely deserves some credit, as much as it pains me to say that. He's whiffed on some acquisitions, but the roster looks pretty formidable right now.

Wall needs to stop going away from his strength to end games, makes zero sense.

Mahinmi has some amazing defensive awareness. He's going to be taking a huge chunk out of Marcin's minutes if this kind of play keeps up.
Clearly needs more time to gel with the guards, PNR defense has been non-existent all night.
-
Wall is just incredible. What a pass, then block on the next possession.
-
Haven't been able to watch, regression to the mean post-break for Otto or just a few bad/mediocre games?
-
Looks like EG's job will be saved yet again by being in an awful conference and squeaking out wins against bad teams. Thanks, Ted.
That said, as a noted Wall skeptic he deserves to be All-NBA this year. Playing out of his mind. He's gotta be counting the days before he can leave DC.
-
If any one of us made a mistake at our jobs half as heinous as signing a mediocre to bad 30 year old center for 4 years, we'd be fired immediately.

Yes, give max money to a guard that can't even put the ball on the floor. Quality GM.

So this is the team that is, "definitely making the playoffs?"
Looks like the same trash squad to me. Glad I didn't get the package.
Have fun watching this team folks. I salute your dedication. If I didn't live in California I suppose I would watch cuz they are my team, but man when will things change? I will check back into this thread in 4-5 weeks and see how things are going.
Couldn't have said it better. Moving to Pittsburgh I'm glad its super difficult to catch Wizards games, don't have to delude myself into thinking this team is anything other than average.
Just awful investments all around, maybe EG will finally get the axe and I can start paying attention again.

The **** is Wall doing? Every possession the past 5 minutes has been him pounding the rock for 15 seconds and then someone jacking up a shot.
