  1. Have only watched one game this year but I don't see how anyone could be surprised with our start. This is not a good basketball team. Beal is good, Wall will come around (he was going to get the max somewhere, not surprised it was here) but outside of that we don't really have much to contend with. Nene is on his last legs, Gortat was a player I wanted here before he went to the Suns, not 3 years later. Now we just have to wait for Porter to come in and unimpress. I'm really not sure I'm going to bother watching anything other than "highlights" until Grunfeld is finally fired.
  2. Whether that counts or not, I don't care. I like Glen Rice Jr. Sick play.
  3. Down 13 to the Nets C team, nice. Maybe another lottery year will finally ****ing get EG fired? Beal and Wall are going to have great years. Beal looks like he worked on his handle nearly as hard as Wall worked on his jump shot.
  4. Ves' passing is the only thing I can take from this game that might translate to an actual NBA game. Other than that, a real defensive presence would have completely negated all of his buckets. In the few minutes I've watched of SL I've been impressed with Rice, far more than any other player on the Wizards SL roster. Looks to me like Nick Young with slightly better handles, something I'd be perfectly happy with as a second round pick. Right as I post that Ves hits a smooth, in rhythm jumper from the elbow. Not bad.
  5. Beal never had that epiphany he still struggles. When asked on 106.7 what he felt he needed to improve he immediately said creating his own shot and his handles in general. It's the NBA though, rookies take three years to make big improvements. I'm interested in seeing what Beal looks like at the end of 2014-15. I think his handles and alll around game will be much better by then. Sorry, I should have been more clear. With Beal I was referring his sudden ability to knock down open shots at a ridiculous clip after two months of bricks. Certainly his handles aren't there yet. Definitely agree that he'll get there.
  6. Hopefully Porter has a Beal-like epiphany sometime this season when it comes to putting the ball on the floor. Really struggles trying to get his own shot.
  7. I can't imagine them going after Jamison after all the strides we've made defensively, especially if Nene is in and out of the lineup.
  8. Wizards have been relegated to the WNBA, merging with the Mystics.Leonsis is on board.
  9. Just what we need. Some scrub rolling up on John's leg. Get him the **** out of the game.
  10. For Wall to get out of that game with 0 FTA is criminal. Bad refs.
  11. Man, I'm always amazed each time I watch the Bulls. No matter who is injured they seemingly ALWAYS give you a close game. Impressive coaching.
  12. Agreed 100%. I won't say he'll be a star, big men with his frame tend to worry me a bit. But given how week this draft is and that we're rapidly moving toward the wrong side of the lottery, I think Len would be a great pick.Right on cue they're finally finding him coming off those PNRs. He's wide open.
  13. It's almost criminal how MD uses Alex Len. I'm watching their NIT matchup against Alabama (no idea why) and he's open for lobs almost every possession but never receives the ball. I'd be more than happy if we ended up with him somehow.
  14. Lol, screw RealGM, how about here (AKA me)?Damn, what an incredible month of basketball for John. Been hard on him because, with his physical attributes, I firmly believe if he learns how to do the little things he could be the best PG to ever play the game. I think it might be starting to come together.
  15. Wall with more FTA than the entire Grizzlies team, lol. Can't recall a foul that wasn't legit, either.
  16. One of the most impressive scoring performances I've seen since Gil was in his prime. Hope Wall doesn't go cold at half time. With that jumper all he has to do is head fake and he's by any defender that tries to stay with him. Amazing.
  17. Wall could have a double double at halftime if anyone felt like hitting a shot.
  18. Lest we forget, we could have easily had both Curry and Thompson if our GM wasn't brain dead.
  19. Helluva win. Really hurting the tank, but beating the Lakers in their own house is always a positive.
