  1. I'm going to try this for the Giants game. What's to stop me or anyone else from walking out into a section and grabbing an empty seat? It's also beneficial for the games with lots of rain or other weather. And considering most of the league revenue is driven through TV contracts, you are part of the problem watching from home as well. Also, as an Orioles fan, I've found this whole concept of tanking to be fascinating, so I've read into the Astros and other teams that have done it. At least in MLB when you have a stadium at substantially less capacity, the profit is great and they actually make more money. Part of that goes into payroll for the product on the field- which obviously changes in the NFL with a salary cap and needing to spend a certain amount- but it also goes into the fact that they close parts of the stadiums and can close things earlier- essentially employing less people for less time. Funny that everyone says that the season ticket holders are part of the problem, but if more people showed up, they might be making less profits, and you are helping line their pockets even more by watching from home.
  2. It's only in the club level. They also do hotdogs, sodas and a few other snacks for those in the Dream Seats (who also have club level access with their tickets.)
  3. They do that for the dream seats already, but I think that a substantial discount on non-speciality items, or even for free, would be a heck of a benefit, especially since you only have a very limited number of games. That is one way to spur STH investment though, since concession prices can get out of control if you are coming with a family.
  4. I can't even get green parking. Purple used to be reserved for dream seats and the other high ups.
  5. I got a text earlier in the week regarding the same thing. I'd actually have a use for a third on some days, but not enough to purchase outright.
  6. Honestly, while I want some value out of my season ticket program regardless, football is the furthest off my priority list. Most of that stuff I just don't care about because it's an 8 game season. That value means a whole lot more to me if I commit to partial/full plans for the Capitals or Orioles (this is my 6th year with Orioles tickets, and they just now came out of the stone age with their STH package.) .
  7. the Orioles did something similar this year. I'm headed to check the website now, but I don't think they are going to add nearly the amount of value to the package that the Orioles did.
  8. While I agree with you on the stadium, you know Snyder wants to host the Super Bowl, the CFB National Championship and other events like Wrestlemania and concerts where they won't consider him due to not having a domed stadium. I predicted that long ago as the one thing he wants above all else. He likes money too much. And now to why I logged in today, I received my 2nd call from the ticket office this off-season, both times they've left voicemails letting me know I can call them with any questions and wanting to confirm my contact information. They are expecting another mass exodus of STH's, not that I blame them, and I feel for some of the folks in the ticket office who are working it because it's a job, and getting reamed out by fans they have to call who don't want tickets anymore.
  9. Early thoughts on any of you guys renewing or not? I am on the fence like I was after the GMSM debacle. Even more on the fence if they keep this current program where I can buy tickets to specific games.
  10. $7300 per ticket for dream seats? When I have lower levels right by the visitor tunnel and essentially have those seats? Thats crazy talk.
  11. I'm surprised with the NFL's push on the Play60 or whatever they call it, that they haven't required a place like that in all stadiums. I used to frequent that area with my uncle before he passed, when did they remove it?
  12. Agreed, I'm not doing it, nor am I going to migrate to VA if that's what they decide to do. However, the trend in all sports is going smaller because of the stagnating markets and the increased in-home experience, so I imagine that they are assuming some sort of drop-off with just shrinking the size of the stadium. No way is it going to be anywhere close to Jerry World- I would expect it be near the 65,000 or so capacity of the new 49ers stadium. That's terrible, and indicative of the customer service experience across the board there. When a STH of 15 years can't get the gifts sent to him that the rest of us got......not to mention those who didn't renew received as gifts- it's a horrible look and all you can think about is that they don't care about you now that they have your money. The Joe Theismann ads are creepy, and they just sent me an email about great seats still being available. While I like to think LaFemina can turn around the business side of things, it's ultimately going to be a sustained, winning football CULTURE (not just team) that brings the fans back. You need to build it up like the Patriots, Steelers, Packers and Seahawks have done, competitive year in and out via the draft, no funny business with the team, etc.
  13. Wow.....when I first got my tickets two seasons ago, you were one of the most active posters in this thread. I totally understand where you are coming from though. And I would be out too, if only for the fact that I am trying to hold out as long as possible until they do the inevitable move to VA. I live south of Annapolis, it takes me literally 25 minutes to get to Fed Ex, and not even double that to get home if I leave with everyone else right at the end. This year and last year, I will have four games where I've got to already get up at 7 am after working a Navy football game (the store I run for work has a huge relationship with navy, so I work all day Saturday for their home games and get home at midnight) so I'm not trying to add another couple hours to that commute, plus a PSL fee. I'll be done at that point, right now I'll just continue to go and honor my uncle's memory with my tickets. I too love going to games. I love my Orioles tickets- I have the 29 game package, and end up going to more. I've been to a few Nats games this year, and I'm hopeful to get to PNC before the year is out as well. I had Caps tickets a few years ago too, but had too many work conflicts over the winter. Might I suggest Navy football games for you? They should have some good seats available, and the tailgating crowd there is second to none. Great experience, and if I worked for a different company, I would easily have season tickets there. The stadium is in a great location minus the metro access. There are any number of ways to get there and is situated right near a couple major highways and roads in the state. That is the one thing I can not buy into. Maybe the exodus from games, because I've only ever gone in one way because of where I live (by the tailgate lot and the used car dealership that keeps changing hands.).
  14. That's where my uncle and a lot of old school RFK's sat for years, I have fond memories of those seats.
  15. You keep those seats to sell. With my Orioles tickets, I'm two sections over from the visitors dugout, and when you had the division games and the big rivalry with the Nats, those tickets sell for almost double what you pay. Triple if it's a Yankees or Red Sox weekend game. Those STH's in the middle on the visitor side are getting premium value from Eagles, Giants and Cowboys fans every year, maybe even enough to pay for each ticket just with those three games. Like a lot of others, I'm in shock that there are so many tickets available. I knew that there would be plenty, but this is quite a few. The Redskins only have themselves to blame at the top for this, though.
  16. About time, though I honestly think the Panthers tickets could sell for more considering they are so close and some of their fans used to be our fans. EDIT: the software merged this part of the post below: Figured I would post here, as well as in the Classified section.....the past two seasons I bought parking passes from a user on this site who had Dream Seats, and he did not renew his contract for this year, so I am left looking for parking for the year. I was spoiled last year with Purple D lot tickets, and would love to go back that way, but I would entertain any parking passes on that side of the stadium. It is easier to get to my seats, easier to get to the stadium and easiest to leave the stadium. Anyone have any passes to offer or any leads, feel free to PM me.
  17. Different teams do it differently. The last Capitals game I went to last season printed the paper stub like you said. The Orioles have gone to more digital options this year and do not print anything. The Orioles tickets are loading through the MLB Ballpark app, and you have to pull up your tickets through the app to get to it, and it's updated by the minute if you buy/sell/trade etc. They could be using a platform like that.
  18. On the visitor side, depending on where you are at and our other opponents, it would make sense. This year would be a good year for brokers, because you have the Cowboys/Giants/Eagles like always, plus get the Packers and another close team for travel in Carolina.
  19. Yup, and I wonder how long before brokers snatch them up.
  20. This is a result from the new guy LaFemina. I'll take it. The Redskins do a great job with the rewards program, but they still have room to go in other aspects of the gameday experience.
  21. Sorry I wasn't clear. The pricing discount is what you would be purchasing the ticket for.
  22. I got the same thing. I also signed up for the club level ticket news or whatever just to track their deals, and I just had two questions for anyone in this thread: 1.) Has this deep of a discount always been in effect for club seats? I totally can see that being the case with how steep the discount is 2.) How does this compare to the "dream seats" in terms of price per ticket Premium Club Pricing Listed Endzone: $4,400 Premium Club Pricing Discount: $1,999 (55% discount) Premium Club Pricing Listed Sideline: $5,650 Premium Club Pricing Discount: $2,4999 (56% discount) Premium Club Pricing Listed Midfield: $7,400 Premium Club Pricing Discount: $2,999 (59% discount)
  23. I really do wonder what the renewal rate looks like this season. I guess ways to find out are for the first batch of upgrades to see what is truly available (even though they can be dishonest on that and hold seats back) and also see how many parking passes are available, if that's an option. I can't blame anyone turning them back in after this off-season and recent history......I almost did, but aisle seats are almost irreplaceable. Also, my sneaking suspicion is that Bruce Allen will be in power until he brokers a taxpayer funded stadium in Virginia, so I am going to enjoy the NFL experience while I can, because I have no desire to drive into Virginia for 1 pm football games on a Sunday if we move in that direction.
  24. Best of luck figuring out the work situation. Definitely not worth the burden of season tickets at this time. Aside from Mountain Dew, I could care less about Pepsi products. It's all decisions made to make more money. Coke is outpacing Pepsi on all fronts, so they are offering great deals to the stadiums to switch products. The Naval Academy did the same thing back in 2016. So the Redskins cut costs on the licensing end, and probably still sold the same amount despite my opinion of it being an inferior product. I would highly recommend baseball season tickets over football if you have a choice, and the Nats do a better job than most of making affordable packages as well as doing great giveaways/promotions. However, concession prices are about as much as Fed Ex, without the option to tailgate, so there is that to take into account. I have Orioles season tickets for 29 games, and love getting to the park for BP when the gates open, and stay until the game is over. If my uncle didn't leave me a sizable amount of money that my mother and I both agreed that he would want me to spend on tickets because of all the times we went, I would only have my Orioles tickets right now.
