The Euros will always side with each other when it comes to facing the US. Lets face it, in the world's eyes, we're public enemy #1.

Not that its going to matter. The US has faced that kind of adversity all tourny long and yet here they are, in the semis.

I understand your point but I'm not sure about that, I would appreciate if you could keep me posted about it as I won't be able to watch the game. Thanks

The semi final is held in Lyon where Alex Morgan and Morgan Brian used to play. Lucy Bronze from England is actually playing for Lyon.

I don't see anything in the article explaining why French will support England. By the way I watched Rapinoe and Morgan interviews prior to the game vs France they were absolutely not arrogant.

I was doing some research for USA France listening to podcasts and France had a long history on the women's side of collapsing when the going got tough late int he tournament. As you said they haven't gotten past the quarterfinals and yesterday was no different!

They are plagged by the same "disease" that our men's team suffered for decades. Possession, domination and in the end a loss.

    Possession 61% -  39%
    Shots 20 - 10
    Corners 7 - 3
    Fouls 8 - 11
    Passes 475 - 302
    Passes efficiency 79% - 66%

When you keep on benching your best winger and don't bother to select the number one goal scorer of your championship you can't expect anything different. The saddest thing is that talent wise we could have won this competition ! Team USA was just smarter and efficient.

We're so stupid, we keep on getting burned and not learning, reminds me an NFL owner :)

That was an interesting game because France looked like they couldn't make simple passes, yet I felt that they had way more chances to score than the US but they couldn't actually get shots on goal. Shots were off just like their passing was. I was surprised when I saw that their pass accuracy was higher than the US, I guess their missed passes were just so poor it stood out more.

Especially in that second half France were dominating, which could be worrying. But from what it looks like there isn't anyone else left in the tournament that is much of a threat so the US should win easily.

    Germany, England, Dutch as underdogs.

So France is supposed to be one of the best teams in the world? They cant seem to hit most simple passes among other things.

Nothing surprising since we've got a lousy coach who keeps on benching our most talented winger and who didn't even bother to select the best scorer of our national championship.

Just saw the replay of the second penalty kick foul. That is an all-time terrible call.

And the ref used the VAR,  MaFifa ! :806:;) France vs USA is of course much better (€€€), than France vs Spain.

Justice department is harrassing Platini over bribery charges it should focus on Infantino and his minions instead.

Just knowing the horrible lil rat (no offence @FrFan) is now squirming has made my morning.

    Hail.

    No problem my friend ;)

In 2018 he was suspended by MaFifa for a payment without a written contract worth 1.8 million euros, has was cleared by the Swiss justice department.

Today he was just brought in for questioning but has not been charged with anything yet. Investigators are trying to find out if during a diner with Sarkozy and a qatari prince he favored Qatar for future investments in France. He said he was voting for USA and then confessed he changed his mind and voted for Qatar.

He might be in deep **** !

We all know Qatar bribed Mafifa to host the WC and other sports events, now it's a matter of who's responsible for that.

    Update: He's been released

  10. Nasser is finally pissed off ! :ols:

"I want players willing to give everything to defend the honor of the jersey and to be a part of the club project. Those who do not want, or do not understand, we see each other and we talk to each other. There are of course contracts to respect, but the priority now is the total commitment to our project,

Speaking about Neymar: "Nobody forced him to sign here. Nobody pushed him. He came knowingly to join a project. "- Source

Tuchel convinced him that Neymar is expendable pending an XXL trade offer

Kylian Mbappé (20) was also targeted. The French striker, who has been criticized for his shattering statements at the UNFP Trophy, when he called for "more responsibilities,"

"He wants to be more involved in our project to grow with the team, the club. But I explained to him that you don't ask for responsibilities. You must go out there and earn them.

Small donors, not French tycoons, help pay Notre Dame works

The billionaire French donors who publicly proclaimed they would give hundreds of millions to rebuild Notre Dame have not yet paid a penny toward the restoration of the French national monument, according to church and business officials.

Instead, it's mainly American and French individuals, via Notre Dame charitable foundations, that are behind the first donations paying the bills and salaries for up to 150 workers employed by the cathedral since the April 15 fire that devastated its roof and caused its masterpiece spire to collapse. This month they are handing over the first private payment for the cathedral's reconstruction of 3.6 million euros ($4 million).

"The big donors haven't paid. Not a cent," said Andre Finot, senior press official at Notre Dame.

American people have always been there for us, I remember they helped us after a storm put down 18000 trees in Versailles, one of them was a 200 years old tulip tree from Virginia

"More than 2.5 million euros were collected, coming from individuals (5 000 French and foreign individuals, mainly Americans) as well as companies and foundations:"

Thank you so much for that, God Bless America !

Only 9% of the pledges for Notre Dame have been honored for the moment. But for Célia Vérot, Executive Director of the Heritage Foundation, "it's normal".

Of the $850 million, how much did the Heritage Foundation collect and how much did you receive?
CÉLIA VÉROT. The pledges we received amounted to $ 221 million, and $ 54.5 million has already been confirmed, almost 25%. This represents 100% of small private donations collected from 233,000 individuals. It lacks the sponsorship money of big companies.
