Bark, anyone?
Put this on at 7:20 am.
Smoked at ~240° and pulled it off the kettle when the internal temp hit 195° and the probe went in like buttah.
She's wrapped in foil and resting in a cooler for an hour, or so.
@AsburySkinsFan. I did this on the Weber kettle, with the SnS. The last pic is the SnS. Look how much charcoal is left, after a 9 hour cook. Temp fluctuated between 239° and 249° during the cook.
Beautiful!! I love my SNS it drastically improves the kettle's performance. My biggest problem is keeping the temp down. Mine seems to get too much air so I have to nearly close everything even while using binder clips around it to keep a seal with the lid.

Just freaking massive embolism...BOOM!
Sad part is then Pence would take over and he's everything Trump is but he actually goes to church. And Evangelicals love a white nationalist who praises Jesus too, and hates the gheys, and wants to force 11 year old girls to bear the children of their pedophile uncles.

Want to know why I don't believe in prayer?
Because each day I used to go to bed praying that Trump would die in his sleep...and each morning I'd wake up to news that he did something even worse.
I hope that son of a **** gets everything he's got coming his way. And may the karma not forget those who still support him.

Ok, I must be stupid, because I missed it and can't find it now.

It is a handheld device that has an input for a temperature probe to put inside the smoker and to a fan that you connect to the air intake at the bottom of the smoker. The device senses the temperature and blows in enough air to keep it at the temperature you set.
link?

All this bashing on Bradley is funny, because I was talking with a D1 coach this weekend about the USMNT, and started in on Bradley per my norm. He cut me off, and said, "Bradley isn't the biggest problem, it's Zardes. The guy can't finish." Talked at length about seeing him up close with the Crew etc and was adamant that the USMNT would be doing much better with someone else in the 9 spot.

It is a kamado-style smoker, like a green egg (but cheaper). It does take forever to cool if you overshoot, but I cheat and use some technology to regulate the temperature. Overall I really like it, it gets the job done, holds a lot of food, and will stay at one temperature for hours if you add enough charcoal and wood at the beginning (I've done overnight 20+ hour cooks).
What's the tech you're using to regulate?

Acorn yes. It was a housewarming present, so I don't know where from.
What are your thoughts on it? I've been REALLY tempted to pick one up.
I want to use it for low-n-slow smoking because the Weber kettle is just painful to keep a balanced temp, but I've heard the kamado style grills are a pain if they over heat because they take forever to cool.

Ethan is having a very good summer, Univ. Akron Men's Soccer camp this weekend. Ethan was selected as the starting GK for the All-Star team and named as the Most Valuable Goalkeeper for the camp out of 24 goalkeepers. We had some more very good conversations with the coaches. For those who may not know Akron, they have won their conference championship every year since 2002, they've had several NCAA tourney Final Fours and a National Championship, in short they are a men's college soccer powerhouse.
We were talking with the head coach and he said that Ethan was the fan favorite among the coaches. This was the 2nd All Star team he's been named to at NCAA Division 1 teams this summer.

Like sure, ok Karen, but don't I need my own understanding to understand the Bible or when god is supposedly talking to me? Or should I listen to others? But if I listen to others aren't they leaning on their own understanding? Oh, I will know when god is leading me? Really, because in my head god sounds a lot like the voice telling me to slap the **** out of the annoying lady in line at Walmart.

Give this another 10 years, and a good amount of states will be majority non-religious.
Trump and Christians have done more to make the case for non-religiosity than any atheist like Dawkins or Hitchens could have.
“The greatest single cause of atheism in the world today is Christians: who acknowledge Jesus with their lips, walk out the door, and deny Him by their lifestyle. That is what an unbelieving world simply finds unbelievable.”
~DC Talk
And apparently, it's what a believing world simply finds unbelievable.

I'm not exactly sure what's happening here, I'm jus trying to have a conversation with yall. I dont understand the need to further prove my point that science and religion can co-exist and even work with each other or call that sarcastic.
We're talking about the state of Christianity in America in a Trumpian world, I'm just reflecting to you exactly what I got from the good religious folks for 20 years whenever I tried to talk about things like evolution and god. You're trying to have an honest debate, and I'm telling you that they don't give a **** about what you, the Pope, or any other educated ****ing liberal has to say. They know what god said and that's it. Hell, as soon as you bring the Pope into the discussion most of them will take the opposite position BECAUSE the Pope believes it.

You're right, I missed one, 3) you pretend there aren't serious concerns about the authenticity and accuracy of the Bible and you simply theologize away any problems and pretend it's all part of the glory that is the mystery of god.
Which is just another way of saying the first one.

Well, if we want to be technical isn't it the Revelation to John.
Things are being revealed to John. John isn't doing the revealing.
I've heard people call it the Revelation of Jesus or the Revelation of God. But not the Revelation of John.
I don't care just so long as its singular

Much less Revelations. There is a thought that Revelations was written by a John, just the disciple John. Revelations itself never states that is the disciple John. Just John.

I love having these conversations, but "Revelations" is like nails on a chalkboard to me...It's the Revelation of John, singular. Sorry, serious pet peeve says more about me than you, but I have to put that out there.

And this is true for much of the Bible. Many of "Paul's letters" aren't probably written by Paul.
Yup.
Wanna hear a trippy theory on Revelation and the Gospel of John?
Written by Lazarus. I'm not even kidding a little.
I'd have to search up my old notes, but I had a professor who laid out some interesting questions about the theory.

I mean, that's been a problem for me for a while now, how can you take scripture word for word learning more and more about the history of how it came to be? How do you practice a religion and still be objective about it?
I'm not gonna read that article, but thank you for posting it. As for the theories about angels etc, I'm sorry but that's a bull**** cheat to avoid the fact that they're reading their Bibles wrong.
As to your last point, it becomes very difficult to the point where you either plug your nose and surrender on faith, or you close the book one last time and let it collect dust. Somewhere along the way I chose the latter.

It does, thank you.
I've been considering the gasket fix. I don't have the thermometer built in so that's not an issue. My top vent and bottom are almost completely closed, but I get a lot of smoke from around the lid seal. On the top vent I actually use one hole to place the ambient temp probe with a wad of tin foil around it to reduce the opening. It's pretty incredible how just a little air will push temps up though, it feels like walking a tightrope with it until I get it dialed which can take over an hour at times. I've also considered Weber's fan based temp regulator, but at $139 that now makes my $99 kettle a $350 smoker.
