  1. I got him to tap on my shoulder a few times to tell me what I was doing wrong. :pfft: It was pretty awesome. I was nervous just driving to the gym knowing that he was going to be there. Saw this earlier, they're dropping wrestling and adding golf. So ridiculous. I imagine that there's going to be an uproar over this, especially from wrestling-heavy countries like the US and Russia.
  2. Royce Gracie did a seminar at my BJJ school tonight: Fun night! First time I've met an MMA legend in person, it was very cool.
  3. Looks like Thiago Tavares was actually the guy who pissed hot after UFC on FX. Pretty funny considering he was beat down so badly by Khabib Nurmagomedov anyway. http://www.mixedmartialarts.com/news/435757/Thiago-Tavares-not-Belfort-tests-positive-for-PEDs-at-UFC-on-FX-7/
  4. Not sure. Those rankings were out before the Aldo loss, but they were probably assuming that him being a recent 155 champ and dropping down to 145, that he was probably going to be better than those three guys at 145 (which I would say he is), but maybe they were being cautious about his 145 ranking as he hadn't fought there yet? Anyway, did anyone see the nasty spinning head-kick KO that Uriah Hall threw on TUF? Found these on Youtube: Seeing a kick like that makes me want to rush out and sign up at a Karate/TKD gym. Although, I'm not even sure if he has a background in those. I think he's mainly a MT guy.
  5. Gotta wait until August, but It's on: http://www.mmajunkie.com/news/2013/02/anthony-pettis-drops-to-145-meets-ufc-featherweight-champ-jose-aldo-on-aug-3
  6. I'm glad the UFC left him out of the official rankings until after he fights at LHW, not that his first LHW fight will help him advance in rankings any. ---------- Post added February-4th-2013 at 10:19 PM ----------
  7. Official UFC fighter rankings: http://www.ufc.com/rankings
  8. Pettis/Aldo would be a dream fight for anyone who loves kicks in MMA.
  9. Quick picks: Benavidez over McCall via UD Maia over Fitch via Sub (prob a RNC or triangle) :fingersx: Overeem over Silva via KO Rashad over Lil Nog via UD Aldo over Edgar via TKO
  10. That would be a huge upset, but I am favoring Alistair Overeem pretty heavily (no pun intended lol).
  11. Very nice: http://www.mmamania.com/2013/1/31/3939412/official-ufc-rankings-fighters-introduced-feb-2013-pound-for-pound-dana-white
  12. Can't wait for this one, the main card really is stacked from top to bottom. 157 and 158 aren't too shabby either. Actually, looking at the schedule there's pretty much good MMA clear into May. Thank god it decided to show up right after football season.
  13. Rampage is actually in great shape for this fight: I still think Teixeira will beat him though I also have Cerrone over Pettis by UD and Mighty Mouse over Dodson by UD *Edit: meant to include that I have Teixeira by sub.
  14. Bottles are often times a gamble. I've gotten to the point now where I only look at the draft list at restaurants. The only time I'll switch it up is if it's a place with bad beers on tap but decent stuff in bottles.
  15. Yep definitely. I can't think of a better partner to mimic Aldo. I actually think Barboza is faster than Aldo too.
  16. btw, Fedor is prob my all-time favorite fighter
  17. Saw this w/ the wife the other night : Despite the fact that it's based on a family of hardcore Philadelphia Eagles fans, it was still a really great movie. It started out looking as if the movie was going to be really grim and sad in the beginning but developed into something very positive and amazing in the end.
  18. Josh Barnett has been added to UFC.com: http://www.ufc.com/fighter/Josh-Barnett Saw this on reddit today.
