  1. No, I like Mousasi a lot actually, I hope he comes over to the UFC too. I also failed to mention Josh Barnett, but I'm assuming that the UFC will give him a contract.
  2. I can't wait to see Cormier/Mir. It will be a decent test for Cormier but I think he's going to beat up on Mir pretty good. I'm hoping that Roger and Jacare make their way to the UFC as well. ---------- Post added January-13th-2013 at 11:19 PM ---------- and Marquardt's leg today:
  3. Got a 4-pack of DFH Chicory Stout, a sixer of Foothills Hoppyum IPA, a mixed sixer from Total Wine (with lots of new goodies I haven't tried), AND a sixer of Starr Hill IPA, all for the UFC last night/games today/New Years tomorrow. I think I'm all set.
  4. Decision, but the first two rounds were total beatdowns. He caught JDS with a nasty (right cross I think) in the first and JDS never recovered.
  5. The main card was pretty boring until Miller/Lauzon, those guys never seem to be in boring fights. Cain/JDS did a good job of keeping the excitement going.
  6. Mike Goldberg apparently isn't doing the card tonight: http://www.mixedmartialarts.com/news/435216/White-Goldberg-taking-time-off-Anik-steps-up-at-UFC-155/ Jon Anik is stepping in to take his spot. Should be interesting to see how he meshes with Rogan. I'm going with: Velasquez Miller Belcher Guillard Leben Philippou
  7. And douchiest haircut of the year. What would you call that submission anyway? Reverse, mounted triangle/armbar?
  8. That's not really a superfight either. I like Cormier but at this point, a matchup with him doesn't carry the same weight as it does with one of the big three (Silva, GSP, Jones).
  9. I don't know if he could take Johny Hendricks down at will.
  10. GSP said in his last interview that he isn't even thinking about his next opponent until after tonight.
  11. I had to watch it a few times to make sure before I posted it
  12. I say either the Barboza spinning kick or Marquardt/Woodley and the elbows/uppercut:
  13. I actually like it. No more missing fights that should happen because the two organizations are separated and there are a lot of women's MMA bouts that could definitely spice up otherwise mediocre UFC cards. This reminds me of the WEC merger and how it brought over the new weightclasses and strengthened up the LW division...I'm excited for this. That is going to be a nice card. Also the next two UFC on FOX cards are going to be great as well (assuming everyone stays healthy).
  14. I don't have a problem with someone Hendo's age going through TRT, it's a legit procedure for a lot of guys his age. Bonnar tested positive for an anabolic steroid which is completely different.
  15. Makes the Nog win even better http://www.bloodyelbow.com/2012/10/22/3538512/ufc-153-antonio-minotauro-nogueira-broken-rib-dave-herman
  16. Everyone here was talking about that after the fight. I'd love nothing more than for Nog to retire on this win and just coach guys and focus on teaching jiu jitsu.
  17. Tell him not to watch the Erick Silva fight then, I don't think it's going to end well for Fitch.
  18. Seriously, there has been a big lull in MMA. Mostly due to injuries but hey at least RG3 has been keeping us entertained. Yep that card next weekend has a lot of entertaining matches. Maybe a lot of them are lopsided, talent-wise but hey 5-6 first round finishes is a good night of fights sometimes Silva, Nog, Texeira, Maia, plus I'm hoping that Erick Silva pulls a Johny Hendricks on Jon Fitch. ---------- Post added October-5th-2012 at 11:46 PM ---------- btw, the two main events were terrible tonight. Almost all of the other fights were way better.
  19. +1 on those picks. The two main fights should be pretty good, plus it's nice to have a card to watch while we wait in next Saturday to get here.
