  1. The Noons/Masvidal pic is pretty comical compared to all the fighters around them
  2. Rampage can still KO anyone imo, people just don't let him get that close anymore, but Bones can punish his opponents harder and faster than Rampage. Bones has 3 inches in height and THIRTEEN inches in reach on Rampage, there is no way Jackson is getting within a foot of Jon Jones without getting hit, and that's just the punches and not counting kicks and knees.
  3. http://www.cagedinsider.com/ufc/news/gambler-wins-51547-at-ufc-131-picking-all-12-fights-winners/?utm_source=wordtwit&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=wordtwit
  4. The fight figuratively did end then, the rest of it was all a show for JDS. There was a clear 4 or 5 second span during that barrage of punches where I was sure it would be over at any time, they were landing pretty much on his face over and over again.
  5. JDS will give Cain a hell of a fight, I loved the last second takedowns too although Shane got that choke in at the end...
  6. JDS is a sniper. Putting on a clinic so far, he is super quick.
  7. Kflo ahead after two for sure. I was completely wrong about Kenny's cardio
  8. Maia is losin right now, he needs to sub Munoz for the win, which is appearing to be a lot harder than it looks
  9. Loved that fight, but glad it finally ended haha
  10. UFC 131: Carwin vs. JDS, picks: Donald Cerrone vs. Vagner Rocha: Cerrone is one of my favorite fighters, wins it on the ground with those long ass limbs. I hope he wears his hat during the fight. Cerrone, RNC, Round 2. Jon Olav Einemo vs. Dave Herman: Herman looks a lot smaller than Jon, but dude is cut. Jon has a small chance of subbing Herman, but I don't think it'll come to that. Herman welcomes Einemo to the UFC with a good old fashioned ground and pound onslaught in a fight that takes place on the floor for the majority of the time. Herman, TKO (GnP), Round 1. Demian Maia vs. Mark Munoz: Another fight decided on the ground. If Munoz can hang with Maia's sub attempts, this will go to decision, otherwise Maia will catch Munoz. Maia is way too adept with his BJJ. Maia, Triangle choke, round 3. Kenny Florian vs. Diego Nunes: I'm on the Nunes bandwagon, even though Kenny is a great and classy MMA fighter and I respect his skills a lot and love watching his fights. His weight class transformation over the years is really impressive. I don't think he will be able to keep up with Nunes' pace and will hit a cardio wall after the 2nd round. Nunes takes a close decision. Nunes, Split Decision. Junior Dos Santos vs. Shane Carwin: This is an awesome fight, the more I think about the more excited I get for the possibilities. Both guys want to engage, both guys have very compatible style yet different ways of fighting. Both guys have power, and the Big Country fight seriously undervalued JDS' striking power since Big Country can take probably the most punishment I've seen in the UFC. Carwin is established and JDS will be wary of his knockout punches for sure. This fight is tough to call, my heart wants JDS to win but my gut says Carwin shows he's definitely a changed and much more complete fighter. This fight goes 3 rounds, both guys bleeding, both guys establishing their ground game with Carwin staying the aggressor, and Carwin wins with a hard right to the Junior's chin, dropping him, and then hammerfists galore. I'm excited to see who's kicks are more effective though. IMO that may change the whole fight. Carwin, TKO (GnP), Round 3. Sub of the Night: Donald Cerrone Knockout of the Night: Shane Carwin Fight of the Night: Florian/Nunes or JDS/Carwin
  11. PB just stream it like us poor people. also: Spike TV confirms 32-man "TUF 14" cast; elimination round back, wild-card picks gone
  12. The SF WW championship belt being vacated is interesting. So this isn't a title unification fight, just a fight for the UFC title. Would Nick have to fight for the Strikeforce WW title again if he loses? That's fairer for the roster of fighters, better than GSP controlling both belts. In this case, the SF WW title is almost being used as a #1 contender title for the UFC WW title that GSP is definitely not going to give up anytime soon. I'm excited for the Flyweight division. We will see some ridiculous small guys fighting their hearts out.
  13. http://www.bloodyelbow.com/2011/6/9/2216148/dana-white-announces-all-ufc-main-events-will-be-five-rounds click for the rest of the article This is fantastic news. A lot of fights would be different had they been 5 rounds instead of 3.
  14. There's been a ton of discussion on that in this thread already I'm pretty sure, if you wanna backread to the post GSP/Shields PPV talk. GSP doesn't sound like he wants it because it'll be a complete change of his life and fighting style to move up a weight class. Silva imo doesn't give a **** and will fight GSP if it comes to that. I don't think we will ever see a Silva vs GSP fight honestly, especially if Nick Diaz gives GSP a good fight or beats him. Maybe by the end of this year, another WW will have established himself as well, or another MW establishes himself as a legit opponent to Anderson. Looking into the future, I don't see anyone doing that though.

  16. I want JDS to win, but my gut says Carwin by TKO in round 2. A shot to rock JDS and then a final barrage taking everything Carwin has. If JDS survives that however, then JDS wins by TKO/submission eventually.
  17. I think Mayhem will annoy the **** out of stuck up Bisping, and I'm really looking forward to next season just because of Jason Miller. He will be way more entertaining than Sonnen. I'm also a huge Mayhem homer haha he needs to get back into legitimate primetime MMA again, and this is a great way to do that.
  18. I just realized Gina Carano was fighting on the Overeem/Werdum card. That's a great card.
  19. I also want Nick to win, GSP almost looks like he's gonna have reign over the title until he decides to quit (with the current WW title pool and the way GSP is fighting), and I would rather him lose and have a rematch with Nick for the belt back.
  20. Thanks for condensing the summer dates, that makes me really excited for all the MMA events like every weekend. Also: http://www.ufc.com/news/ufc-137-fight-card-updates?changeRegion=1&fb_comment_id=fbc_10150206031177092_16704968_10150206032082092
  21. Me too, I was like, why is there a video blog this week? There's no UFC this weekend, what's with the blog? Oh well! Bonus blog! And then I saw your comment.
  22. Really the only way I'd get even remotely excited for another GSP fight is if Nick Diaz is involved (unless the mythical Silva fight happens). After seeing Diaz bring it against Daley, I hope he would do the same against GSP and give him a good well rounded opponent, unlike Kosh and "all out war" Shields.
