Maybe with the new ownership, we can bring Kyle back as OC.

You go to Michigan and don't leave with 200k in student debt is kind of a salary though. But I get it.
Oh go away, "clever" internet poster from 2011.

I'm annoyed someone came here from another board to call me out and confirm that Jumbo is as fat as we think.
I need to figure out what burner email I used to create my BGO account and go there with war on my mind.

The vast chasm between the fanbase perception of Q and players/league personnel/media is fascinating. Like polar opposites almost. I'm just curious to see how that dynamic plays out.
You know Troy Aikman? Hall of Famer. Three Super Bowls. Been broadcasting the game of the week for 20 years.
You know who he considers the single greatest football mind he's ever encountered?
Norv ****ing Turner.
So......players and fans have different perspectives.

Seriuosly?...why wouldn't you. Not interested in hearing how he attacked Howell, EBs playcalling?
I think "overwhelming us with galactically superior talent" is the answer.
Also, Howell is yesterday's news. I live in the now.

Trust the process, it's an analytical hire.
We're totally going to find out this hire occurred because Magic Johnson liked his shoes or something.
"Oh man.....when he came in with those shoes.....whoooooo-wheeeee....i was like.....showtime!"

Interested to hear Quinns thoughts on Howell after prepping to go against him twice this past season.
Why? Dallas beat us by a combined score of 176-3.

Everyone who absolutely loved the Peters pick for GM should be ok with this. You can't love our GM while also hating his pick for HC.
I'm a goddamn American and I can do what I want.

Can you imagine how fun this draft will be to watch if they trade down? Massive picks for QB. a first this year, a first next year and probably a 2nd, 4th and 5th this year.

You're bad at this.

It's fine.
It feels like we just replaced Ron Rivera with Ron Rivera, but it's fine.

Imagine Mahomes with a big time #1 wr and the supporting cast not having a major case of dropsies
We do. It's Tyreek Hill running by the entire Bills defense while giving a peace sign.

They benched Toney and Skyy Moore. All year they were trying to force them into the rotation and it resulted in picks, drops and failed drives. Rice is also a mauler and he came on strong in the later part of the year. If the Chiefs get a genuine number 1 receiver next year they'll be a tough out.
1. Their defense has been this good all year.
2. A few things were wrong with their offense. The biggest is that Kelce came into the season hurt and may actually finally be healthy. He looked washed in October, and now I think he has four years left. And like you said, they cleared the deadwood from the receiving room. Rice is a baller if nothing else. Toney is insanely talented but an absolute head case, and I think Mahomes despises him at this point.
3. I can't overemphasize how good Pacheco is. If this was 1999, he would have 1,700 yards and 22 TDs.

I just did some research. Apparently I made 17 posts because I decided to spend a day mocking Om as much as humanly possible.
I really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really had an issue with that guy and his endless "I have unlimited space and a thesarus and I am going to tell you what I know about football which is I really don't know what's going on and also my wife left me" posts.

I was just reading this, surprised that Carroll is seen as a shot now with Seattle fans.
He'd been there 14 years and had largely been treading water for the last 8 years.
It's similar to what is going on in Pittsburgh with Tomlin. That fanbase is desperate for someone (anyone) new.
NFL fans aren't college football fans. Even good coaches only get about two presidential terms before a change is wanted.

I know. **** that fat POS regardless.
LkB joined BGO under a fake name and then slams it. He's the perfect representation of this site and why it was almost removed by the Redskins.
I joined under LKB, made two obnoxious posts, and left.
If it took you months to figure out who I was, that's on you.
1 hour ago, Forehead said:Well, moving on. I remember McD5...he was the guy that claimed to be a wealthy day trader who almost never lost money and had marker timing down to a science, right? He and Techboy (who was very much a buy and hold long term type) went back and forth a ton over that.
McD5 had charts. So many charts. I honestly had no idea what he was talking about.
However, he told the greatest tall tale in the history of this site.
His story that he was a highly successful high school bookie. And every Friday, he would head to the alcohol store and get himself a keg. And he would tap said keg and put it in the front seat of his car (which I want to be an Oldsmobile for this story). And he would then drive to all the fly parties and give the fly honies his fly front seat beer.
I believe my response to this was, "How bad did that car smell?"

By the way, I'm totally going to fall for Daniels after the combine. I always want the QBs who run a sub 4 40 and can deadlift a boulder so heavy God could not lift it..

My post was also a Joke. Some of you are so bound up in your Dan Quinn hate that you need to loosen up and breathe, it will be better for your health. I don't see any reason at all that we'd try to acquire Dak. But I wouldn't put past this FO trading for someone else or signing a FA. None of that matters until you know who the HC and OC is though. Be patient folks.
You are a bad person.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Super_Bowl_head_coaches
I took those names mostly from this list and the article I saw from Reid I mis read while skimming the bit on Gruden here's what actually happened.
https://www.deseret.com/sports/2021/2/3/22262460/andy-reid-among-distinguished-group-of-fired-coaches-who-landed-future-teams-in-the-super-bowl
"Let’s study the Raiders’ dealings with coaches as an example of foolishness. They hired Jon Gruden as their head coach in 1998. In four seasons he had a won-loss record of 38-26 and in his third and fourth seasons he took the Raiders to the playoffs, including the conference championships in 2000. So what do the Raiders do? They traded him to the Buccaneers for two first-round draft picks, two second-round draft picks and $8 million."
I don't know WHY i thought he was the raiders HC in the SUper Bowl, I completely forgot about Calahan even though it was there in the wiki article I was looking at after I read the first article. It was an honest mistake, you guys should show more grace. My point is, not every loser makes it back to the Super Bowl, but a few special ones do and win, and so I'm not prepared to rull out Quinn just because of that.
You're a bad person.

So here's a crazy thought, what if Dallas lets quinn go and then Washington offers to take Dak, and extend him for 3-4 years, for a swap of first round picks?
We do have some cap space. (I think its more likely we sign a FA like Cousins, but...all i've heard on spots radio since yesterday is that Daks no trade clause is hurting the 'teams chemistry' they can't wait to see Dak extended. and no I'm not arguing for this, at all.)You know, that last post was a joke.
You are bad and this is dumb and you shouldn't post any longer. I now mean every word.

THere have been several coaches who choked in a super bowl and later won. Note among them includes the Chiefs HC: Andy Reid
- Bill Belichick (although I doubt he takes a 2nd team to a victory just because of history)
- Pete Carol (see Belichick)
- Tony Dungy (Bucs then Colts)
- JohnG ruden (Raiders then Bucs)
- Dick Vermeil (Lost with Phily in 1980, Won in st Louis in 99)
- Don Shula lost to the Jets, and Cowboys before winning 2 with the Dolphins.
- Tom Landry (Lost with the Cowboys to the Colts, before winning the next year)
- Bill Cowher lost to the Cowboys before WInning over the Mike Holmgren Seaahawks.
-
Sean McVay lost to the Chiefs before winning over the Bengals a few years later.
So let's not presume that a loss in the super bowl necessarily means no chance in the future.
This list is stupid and often wrong and I don't think you know football history at all and you are bad and should probably not post any longer because this is dumb and bad and dumb.

Yeah its disappointing but to say things like "this is Snyder all over again" is just silly.
Fact is, we did NOTHING wrong in this situation. NOBODY saw Johnson crawling his way back to Detroit. He took zoom interviews with us and multiple other teams and then took in person interviews with us and Seattle. He interviewed with Seattle and then literally last minute(actually beyond last minute) he bailed on us. NOBODY saw it coming. To put this on GMAP and the HOG is absurd.
I think nearly everyone expressing disappointed have literally said that this is not the end of the world.
But, again, I was hoping for something that felt "triumphant" out of this process. Presenting the defensive coordinator of out biggest rival who was de-pantsed on national tv three weeks ago is not the triumph I wanted. It just feels like a White Elephant party and we ended up with the soap someone bought at Target.

And since Chip Kelly is not a totally insane 60-year-old narcissist, I'm sure he's very capable of radical changes in both his approach and temperament.
We should get him a service dog.
He would demand that the GM who hired him be immediately fired.
If he wants Shula's record, he needs to go somewhere next year where he can immediately win 11 games. Dallas beckons.
He won't take a formal job this year with any team. I assume he does one year with a network and then goes to a largely, fully-built team next year. Or retires. Or dies. He's old.
