  1. I can't seem to find the thread for posting about uniforms, so I guess I'll "randomly" put it here:

Does anyone else miss jerseys with the numbers on the sleeves? I've noticed most teams have gone away from that traditional look. I've been watching a lot of games from the 80s on YouTube this summer, and the image of a football player from those days to today's players is like night and day. From the uniforms, to the pads, to the body styles. Something else I've noticed, which I had forgotten, was just how awesome Gibbs' special teams were back in the day.

  2. I liked the early days when he'd send his plane out to pick up high priced free agents and have them fly to DC to get signed. We used to get info on where his plane was going, and which towns it was getting spotted in. He seemed to enjoy spending on free agents like a drunken sailor. It's a shame so many of them didn't pan out.

  3. I'm a bit concerned about my lack of emotion over all this today. I've been hoping for Dan to sell for many years, and I should be uncorking some champagne right now. Is it possible that the apathy I've developed for this team (and for the NFL in general) is so deep that I can't even fully enjoy today's news?

I've been watching a lot of the old glory days games on Youtube, and looking at those games, I'm realizing how far we've fallen, and how different the game, and the league, has become.

I'm confident Harris is going to get to right to work trying to improve the fan experience and get back some of the old fanbase that stopped paying attention, or even started following other teams. But how long will it be before he has good football people in place to make the changes on the field that will result in a return to being a winning franchise?

…fans are dumb, that’s one of the most realistic commercials depicting fans that you’ll see

Good point. It's those fans who the NFL are increasingly marketing to, which is helping ruin the product on and off the field. I long for when Sundays were days when guys watched football, drank beer and hid from their families. All the commercials were for beer and motor oil.

Kuzy is the biggest dissapointment on this team by far. Should be a guy that can be dominant but just glides through. Trade him

Agreed. I just always keep waiting for him to catch fire, but he never does. Maybe a change of scenery would be good for him.
