Who is falling in love with any of these rejected, second rate coordinators? I think people are purely trying to decide on who the best case scenario might be—in a potential lame duck year for the coaching staff—during an ownership change. We’re talking damage mitigation in a unique situation. Not dream coordinators.I hear you, man. I have to stay off Facebook because of all the idiotic posts on the Redskins facebook pages. They're annointing Howell as the next franchise QB despite the fact he's only thrown 19 passes in an NFL game, and saying the team shouldn't pursue any other QBs. Some of them are just throwing out the names of any and all offensive coordinators in posts saying "Byron Leftwich, anyone?" I guess these are the members of the fanbase Kevin Sheehan is talking about when he complains how dumbed down fans have gotten in DC.

Hopefully, Turner's dismissal means an end to sweeps with Samuel that gain about 1 yard, assuming Samuel falls forward when the first defender gets a hand on him.

Guys are trying to show off for a roster spot next year, and Slye is trying to lose his job today.

Not sure what the thought process was there... C'mon, Howell.
Cowboys trying to give us this game, yet we're not taking advantage of it.

Dallas is just killing themselves on special teams.

Why didn't they start like this last week when it mattered?

Not gonna lie. Only watching today because of Howell. 1st NFL pass is a TD!

That is just a sour grapes mentality that I don't believe in. Giants don't belong in the playoff either but there they are anyway.
Giants took care of business when they needed to. 1-0-1 against us. They manhandled the Colts today knowing a win would lock them into a playoff spot. We went 0-1-1 against the Giants and squeaked by the Colts 17-16. Maybe they won't last long in the playoffs, but they earned it. We didn't.

I predicted we wouldn't win any more games after the bye week. I didn't want that to be right, but here we are. I just felt like the Heinie magic was wearing off after that tie with the Giants, and didn't think Wentz would come back and do anything great. And let's face it, this team has a history of not showing up for the games that count the most.

Someone said Rivera didn't know they could be eliminated this week. I guess he knows now...
Teams that really want it show up and play determined football when the playoffs are on the line. Congrats to Seattle, Detroit and Green Bay for taking care of their business.

Well that's moronic because Carr was really good last year and got them to the playoffs.
He had some bad moments this year for sure, but McDaniels leaves a lot to be desired. Guy makes Scott Turner look like Bill Walsh.
If you follow the Raiders it's not moronic at all. They predcited he'd choke in that playoff loss the way a lot of us predicted Wentz ****ting the bed against Cleveland today.

So if GB wins later today, we're out of the paloffs. So then we'll start Howell in a game where all our other players have mentally checked out and just want to get the game over with and go home for the winter. Not exactly a great situation to evaluate what they have in Howell, is it?

Hell no. Carr sucks. I have good friends who are Raiders fans. They wanted him gone before this season started.

The name sucks - technically I could just move on and find another team but growing up in the 80s makes it so hard.
I'm right here with you.

When I saw that Detroit, NYG, and Seattle all lost, I just said "welp, we're being set up to lose today." One thing this team seldom does is take advantage of good fortune.

So, my question is, is a ref obligated to tell the player if he's lined up correctly or not? I assumed it was more of a courtesy type thing. Ultimately, a player should be responsible for his awareness of where he's lining up, no?

Heinicke is awesome when it comes to heart and leadership. But he’s trash when it comes to talent. Keep him as a backup but that’s it.
BUt they have to acquire a QB1 who plays well enough - and stays healthy - that Heinie doesn't once again find himself counted on to start most of another season and cause so much division among fans, It's getting tedious...
Nah Nah Nah…Nah Nah Nah…Hey Hey Hey…GOODBYE CLOWNSHOES

Snyder is the perfect storm of human incompetence coupled with a wealth that still amazes me how he earned it.
