  1. No, I just know that I am not participating.  I don't like where it is headed and if it continues to go that route, I am out, like out on the NFL.  How much money do you need, really?

I didn't mind DirecTV Sunday Ticket and paying for that but that was different, getting every game, this is the only game on for the entire nation and you are making it a subscription?  No thanks.

I would be curious if bars are doing a better clip on Thursdays for folks that don't want to pay for Amazon but will pay for beer and wings.

You can't threaten to be the worst team in the NFL right after a rebrand. You just can't.

I'd say most of the harm we have done to ourselves this season has been local but If we go out on Streaming Amazon and embarrass ourselves to the point people believe we are the worst we would probably be setting ourselves back years on the country-wide scale.

    I shudder at the thought.

    Fixed for ya.

  3. Is it still Fat Bear Week?

How this team beat Jacksonville, I have no idea.

Is it really a good thing if the Commanders figure out a way to beat Justin Fields and the Bears?  So, at 2-4, the season suddenly has hope?  Or, is it the usual win a game here or there to screw up the first pick in the draft.  For once, the Jets and Jags aren't in the running, now's your chance Danny Boy, just keep being you.

    Bears - 31

    Commanders - 13

  4. The reason I became a fan was because my dad as well so totally get that.  Great to be a fan when you are young, Skins were not good when I started rooting for them but to see them build and become a power, those were good days.  Hope your son gets to enjoy that experience.

We were teased back in the day, mainly by Cowboys fans, but a different era for sure.

  5. Yep, I am good with the Bills.

When they switched back to the white helmets, big fan of their uniforms, and their fanbase is invested and they are due.

Vikings uniforms and I don't dislike Cousins, so good with them too.  When they went to the matte finish helmets, and I am glad Commanders have done so, only good change to the uniform in my book.

They themselves prove that a lot of people aren't caring at all anymore.

This!  The server used to crash on a regular basis back in the day.  Now, much like the team, this site, number of active participants, is a shell of its former self.

Sure, in a vacuum that makes sense. However, we've been boat raced in the 1st half, twice--and it was wholly uncompetitive. Actual game footage from the Lions and Eagles games:

Fake news, the QB is still standing at the end of that play. 😜

    Love me some Tecmo!

  8. I went to a festival on Sunday with my wife.  I can't imagine doing that a few years ago.

The name change, of course, hurt but still I was somewhat on board but it was waning.  When the pathetic attempt at a rebrand came out, that was it.

I was done.  At least as long as Dan Snyder owns the team.

If they do the mascot at least close to competent and Dan is forced to sell and there is an actual plan, see General Manager, then I could hop back on board.  Certainly not with the level of passion I once had but dems the breaks.  I have my memories of my childhood and Gibbs I.

Somebody who does things so cheap, expired airline peanuts, lipstick on pig improvements to the stadium that never equal what was billed, hiring incompetent people and no accountable structure see London's misspelled name, porta potty Sean Taylor tribute, state of Washington mugs, Power Point WordArt logos, wife designed uniforms, etc. etc. and expects the fanbase to support it because it's the NFL and you have no choice.

Wrong, you have a choice.  I am enjoying RZC, I gave up my season tix years ago, no new gear.  Until he is out, I don't care.  I care enough to type this so you might call me a hypocrite, but it's therapeutic.  Like Riggotoni said, I almost enjoy when they fail now, while I feel bad for the players I always feel that maybe it's a step further to end of Snyder's tenure as owner.

  9. I enjoyed it, watched it last Friday when it was on.

I forgot he grew up with Drew Pearson.  Their energy together was great.

He was my first Redskins hero and I still get nostalgic hanging my Joey T. Xmas ornament.

However, he is a liar.  He said during the special he answered all the fan mail he got in the hospital.  BS, I never got a response.  I sent him a letter and a duplicate football card I had of him and telling the game story of that card, okay, selfish, was hoping he would sign and send back but did not ask.  Anyway, he had other things going on like banging Cathy Lee Crosby.

  10. They were talking about Samuel this morning on the Junkies.

The question to the fans if they were in and out on Samuel for 2022.  I think maybe the question should be is Samuel in?

How many times have we seen a player with proven talent on another team, come here to only get nicked up and never see the field consistently?  This team doesn't have the herd mentality or winning pedigree in the locker room to correct it meaning to get players to train and heal correctly and sometimes play hurt if it's not a risk to exacerbate the injury.

It's just my two cents, I am not saying Curtis Samuel was not hurt but it really feels like we have seen this movie time and time again.

  11. Saw that one.  Must have been a discount for the reversible Orakpo/Moss Jersey.

Love the young professionals at the table while the parade of fans, in what could only be numbers from yesteryear go by.

  12. I know I bring this up all the time but here again is proof that the fanbase is dead.

Think about how many pages this thread would be if it was 10 to 15 years ago.  Shoot, even 5 years ago this would be big news and the server would be crashing.

The Junks were talking about it this morning and the polls reflect it.

So, Dan, if he remains in power, is buying the tripe that if he builds a new stadium in a new location that this will all turn around and people from the surrounding counties in Richmond, where I live, will make the trek and be a big part of his reviving the fanbase.

Meanwhile, you got 4 more years of opposing fans filling up FedEx field.

No change of location is going to shake the stench of Snyder.

Is that tailgateing parking lot... grass

Head groundskeeper bout to merc sombody. Parking lot outlines is where he draws the line.

Fans will be tearing knees right and left if it's like FedEx.  Maybe that office space includes an Orthopedics place Snyder owns stock in.
