McD5, they blew it up. They have an extremely young roster most of which is not at all part of the future. The future is yet to be drafted.
What do you call trading Butler, Arenas, Jamison and Haywood? Not blowing it up?
a) The Wiz know they are rebuilding.
Leonsis wanted the Wiz before he bought the Capitals and regardless he's owned the team less than a year so what does that have to do with anything?
c) Rashard is not a star. He's a very good player but not a star. Wall is the best player on this team.
Depending on how bad we finish it'll be great to get an impact big man hopefully. And yes, we need a young coach who is here for the long haul. Flip and his joke zone defense can take a hike. Blatche, gtfo.
Thought they'd collapse again for a second.
And no way are we as big a joke as the Clippers.

Yeah, 80's Bulls with MJ are an example. Cavs this decade. I'd say it's definitely harder to rebuild in football. But at the same time, the NBA is mostly first round talent and there's a massive disparity after that minus diamonds in the rough like Arenas. The NFL has stars from deep rounds like Brady and Montana and Terrell Davis etc.
Hockey is similar to baseball. You have your AHL and ECHL affiliates and you draft the rights of college/major junior/European players early and let them develop as you wish.
Without question. The Wiz and Nats have a future. The Redskins do too but they need to form and execute a rebuilding plan and not screw around with it.

The Caps have never had this much raw talent. They had their squad of grinders in the mid-late 90's and they were consistently ousted by Pittsburgh and when they finally did make it they were worked over by the dynasty Red Wings. People expecting them to win 2 years after becoming legit again are crazy. We have a window.
I wouldn't at all. He was holding us back because he demands the ball so much just by his style and now he can't even hit open looks.
And if we are going to bring up injuries how about our best player Mr. Wall on the bench. Think we still lose if he plays?
I'll take your saying and talk about "the now and present." They are a winning organization. Everyone complains they (the current squad) haven't won a Cup yet but it doesn't happen overnight. 90's Red Wings took a while to win. They also choked in 96 when they had a 60 win season that made ours last year look average.
Do you really mean the nonsense you put into 90% of your posts?
The Capitals are a winning team. An 8 game losing streak doesn't change a sample size of 3 and a half seasons.
Rashard, a winner? All that playoff success in Seatttle huh...I don't see any rings on this man.
