  1. So what happened to his shooting? I thought he shot pretty decent in the summer league. I don't get any of the games so all I can go on is the box score. And someone mentioned finding a great center in the draft. Do they even exist anymore? I haven't seen a Shaq/David Robinson/Ewing/Olajuwan type in a looooong time. And Dwight Howard doesn't count. He's more of a power forward build to me.
  2. Amazing that this thread has been around for 5 years and it still hasn't reach 1000 pages.
  3. I hope when Ted doe the Dougie, the announce out loud, "This is for You Cowherd".
  4. When Gil gets back, Wall won't be asked to score 29. He'll be in the 15-20 range and his assist will go up and he can concentrate on getting the TOs down. And Cowturd comparing a rookie in his 3rd game to a 3/4 year veteran is insane. And the guys in the 80's like Magic and Isaiah were just as ****y. They may not have done a pregame dance, but don't let their "awe shucks" demeanor fool you. They were ass****** on the court and would do anything to kick your ass. Same with Larry Bird. Bird was a big trash talker.
  5. And the fact that the Bullets had the RW & B before the Caps or Nats.
  6. Ignore it. I was in a mood. I was still pissed about the Redskins game.
  7. He would get the chalk and then clap his hands in the face of the guys at the scorers table. KG and LeFraud took it a little further with their ghey volcanos.
  8. Meh, same old Wizards. I realize this is only 1 game and it was on the road against a title contender, but to get beat by 30 points is a warning sign that we're in for another long season. Not that I didn't expect it already, but I was hoping for some improvement with Wall, Hinrich and others added to the roster. Another 30 win Wizards season. We'll still be the only teams other than the Clippers and Bobcats to not have a 50 win season since 1979. Yes, I SAID NINETEEN SEVENTY-NINE. Sad
  9. In that case it was hard not to quote the pic. There was no way to edit out the one face of the guy who looks like Tim Allen. I don't have that capability. Sorry for that. I usually don't quote the pics.
  10. I guess some guys just don't have it at the pro level (Morrison). He was an aggresive scorer in college. I wouldn't call him great, but he was a good player.
  11. Booker had 8 pts and 4 rbs a game in the summer league. Did anyone really expect him to come in and take a starting spot? He's a backup that will eat 6-12 minutes a game. That's all. I thought he showed alot of hustle and energy. Not ready to cut this guy yet.
  12. The New England Revolution have RW & B, so I guess DC United wanted the black in there instead. The post can blow it out their ass. Without "GUNS" the bullets don't work. It's technically the Bullets that kill people, but it still takes a gun and a person's finger to do it. Sorry, I see no connection to team name Bullets and the gun violence in DC that has been going on for decades before the team and will go on decades after the team.
  13. The Golden State Wizards. If they ARE able to change the name back to Bullets, I'm selling my 3 Wizards jerseys. Or I'll just give them away. I have 2 Jordan Wizards jerseys and 1 Hamilton. I have 2 Bullets jerseys- Unseld road and Jordan home.
  14. 83% want the name changed back to the Bullets on the Washington Post poll. I'd love it to happen in 2011-12 season, but 2012-13 may be more realistic.
  15. Thanks for the news tip. That would be the greatest thing ever. If it happens, I'll literally cry tears of hapiness.
  16. One thing in regards to the name change back to the Bullets. Why can we wear the retro uniforms that actually say "Bullets" but not actually change the name back? We've worn the orange retros many times. What's the difference?
  17. Well yeah I do agree with this if you count college, high school, little league and street ball. It's probably a more popular sport in the area, but as far as labelling the city and which sport/teams they root for, DC holds the Redskins in higher standing than most, evident by the sellout streak.
  18. Good writeup, but I disagree with you on DC being a basketball town. The Redskins have been #1 since I was a little boy. I think the Bullets were always 2nd with the Capitals 3rd.
  19. Hey, I'm not a leg humper (actually married), but I can appreciate a good body when I see one.
