  1. Anyone besides me hate these Boston road unis? I hate the Black trim. Boston should keep their classic road green/white. ---------- Post added January-22nd-2011 at 07:58 PM ---------- KG is in Blatche's head.
  2. Maybe the Wizards should ask the next road opponent if they don't mind wearing their dark uniforms at home, so we can wear our white on the road, thinking we are at home.
  3. The Pistons are the only "Team" to win a championship. Every team (including the Celtics and Spurs) has a superstar on the team. Garnett-Pierce, Duncan-Robinson-Parker, Shaq-Kobe, Kobe, Jordan-Pippen, Olajuwan-Horry-Smith, Bird-McHale, Magic-Worthy-Kareem, Thomas-Dumars, ect. etc.. Every team in the last 30 years has had 1 superstar and a sidekick or a flat out superstar.
  4. They are in other parts of the solar system. They (planets) wouldn't line up all in a row because of their rotation. Not sure about the sun unless it's over to the right or left. The Earth could be on the outer part of it's rotation from the sun.
  5. But we are currently 15th in the conference. We have some winnable games coming up in the next 4 games, but I think we go 2-2 or 1-3. Face it, it's going to take another offseason in the lottery (top 3) to get this team to .500. I didn't hold my breath this year for them. The only excitment this team brings me is changing back to R, W & B unis and the possibility of going back to the Bullets name. Only team besides the expansion Bobcats, to not have a 50 win season since 1978. Pathetic.
  6. Well, as a Bullets/Wizards fan for over 30 years, I can say, "I told you so" to all of you who said this team could be a playoff contender before the season began. Don't get me wrong, I hate having to say that. I wish it was the other way around. I think we're going in a better direction with Wall and getting some younger players in the mix, but we need a new coach, we need to get rid of a couple of more head cases and we did well be trading Gil. It's going to take another offseason to turn this thing around. Oh, and I'll add Abe dying helped. I think we're in better hands with Ted. We still need an inside presence and a rebounder. We can't live from the perimeter.
  7. He should switch to New Balance. I've never had any problems with my feet since making the switch away from Nike/Reebok/Converse.
  8. The Gilbert trade doesn't upset me. While he was the best player we've had in a long time, it was time to move on so Wall can be the PG and Young can get more minutes at SG. Good to see Howard back. He gave us more than I thought he would. Rashard gives us a legit outside shooter, but the thing is, we're already a jump shooting team. We rarely get points in the paint. Oh, and same old Wiz. Losing games at the line, bad shots, bad defense. Captain Kirk is an 85% free throw shooter and somehow I knew he'd miss one. Wade shoots 72% and buries both. Shows you why Wade is a superstar and Kirk is a backup. ---------- Post added December-20th-2010 at 01:44 PM ---------- Thanks for jinxing us. Have you ever heard of the "Curse of Les Boullez"?
  9. Yankees signed Russell Martin, Catcher from the Dodgers.
  10. Another game, another beatdown. Maybe Flip will be fired if we continue to lose. We still have a long way to go before we become a contender.
  11. I live here in SC and see alot of Clemson games on TV. Most of you guys were down on Booker. I was telling you guys earlier in the year he is legit. He's a little short, but he's tough. Does alot of the dirty work.
  12. I know we've had some injuries, but when do the excuses stop. We were blaming Eddie Jordan for the longest, now it's Flip. We've blamed injuries, etc., but when does the team start playing better? I mean, we just lost to Toronto by almost 20 points. Don't get me wrong, I think we have a good base to build with, with Wall, McGee, Booker, Young, et al, but one of these years the players need to take it upon themselves to put it together. 5-12. Same old Wizar...er Bullets. I love that some of you in hear are diehards and WANT to believe this team can turn it around. I guess years of frustration with the Redskins and Wizards have jaded me into thinking I'll never have a team win a championship. Couple that with the Capitals choking and the Orioles/Nats being a basement dweller, I always fear the worst.
  13. You guys keep saying Vince and Gil in the same sentence. Vince Gill?
  14. Also, VC could pull an Zadrunus Illgaskus (when we traded Jamison) and be released and go back to Orlando.
  15. Don't mean to be a debbie downer, but my mantra with this team is, "I'll believe it when I see it." We're 4-8. Pretty much what we always do.
  16. With the history of the Wizards, I'm on a "I'll believe it when I see it," approach. The Redskins are making me turn that way lately also.
  17. And the Wizards are different how? I mean, I've been a fan of this team since the 1977 season when I was nine, and pretty much I'm sick of the whole Wizards situation every year. We're the Clippers east, maybe not as sucky, but with only a couple of years when we had Webber/Howard/Strickland, the team has been a nightmare. I've felt this way about the Wizards just as much as the Redskins.
  18. That's just the burrito you ate. Agree. DC is a football town when you talk about popularity of the pro sports teams. Overall, if you include college basketball or HS basketball, Basketball may be the most popular.
  19. Also, he did say he wouldn't quit until he brought a championship to Cleveland. He quit.
