  1. Without Remorse...Michael B. Jordan doing a Tom Clancy movie.

It's decent.  The plot, once you get past murdered wife and an ex-Navy SEAL on revenge is...kinda whatever.  But that's really what you're coming to see, Michael B. Jordan on a rampage.  I've read some reviews calling the plot "indecipherable" which isn't really fair, IMO.  It's a bit convoluted at times but it's not impossible to figure out what's going on.  Jordan does a good job, so does everyone else.  It's just a straight up revenge movie, don't think of it as anything more.  B-.

Spiff, its not a 100% chance, of course, but the NMax-21 virus is internet born.  You may want to quarantine conspiracy theory thoughts for, like, 2 weeks...just in case.  We don't want it to spread, of course.  And obviously if you come down with symptoms (e.g. complete lack of critical thinking skills), please seek help.

...god I hope scientists develop a vaccine soon.  Good Luck!

Already have the complete lack of critical thinking skills down pat.  I just selectively apply it in certain situations.

  3. I don't know what thread this belongs in, but I think it can go here.

I'd only heard of NewsMax before, I'd not seen it until yesterday.  Holy ****ing ****, it's like Fox News on the Barry Bonds steroids plan.  It's ****ing unbelievable.  People actually watch and believe this ****.

Oh how I hate Epson printers. Literally have to replace the cartridges or realign the printer heads every time I use the damn thing. Should really just smash it and buy another brand. 🤬

I think most home printers are complete ****.  I've got a Canon and I'm not sure how it works after all the times I've had to take it apart.  I've had to go in there so many times to fix paper jams...there's this one piece in there that has a vise grip on paper, so you kinda have to pull the paper firmly but not TOO firm or else you'll rip the paper invariably in a way that makes it impossible to reach in and get the rest that's stuck further up in the printer.  And you'd think they'd have a little wheel on the side where you could manually crank it and push it out but that'd be too ****ing simple.  And of course it's a tiny scrap of paper that this little ****er can't **** out, it looks like it should be so ****ing simple but nooooope.   Like I said, after all the tinkering I've had to do, I'm not sure how it still works.  It makes a really loud rattling noise when it starts up and again when it starts printing...like, LOUD.  The front tray is all jacked up and broken, multiple pages don't stack up neatly...gotta sit there like a factory plant worker and wait for each one to roll off the end of the assembly line so they don't **** up everything behind them.

It's like...you've got one ****ing job, Canon printer, and you've failed miserably more times than I'd like to count.  I've for sure thought about taking this thing out to the back yard and doing a Michael Bolton on it.  Just like in that gif, a couple stabs at it with the bat just so it knows that I mean business, and then bare fists.  Maybe throw in some DeNiro kicks for good measure.

  5. Is Costco a little slice of heaven?  People of all races, religions and creeds coming together in the name of bulk shopping name brand goods at warehouse prices without any judgement?  A place where you can go intending to buy a few items but not feel terrible about spending WAY more than you initially wanted to?  Is there anywhere better than Costco?  I submit that there is not.

True story. I haven't bought a laptop or desktop since I first moved to California in 1999. I married an IT person  a few years later so everything I've used in the past 15 or so years has been hand-me-downs or stuff she bought and grew tired of. Plus smartphones and tablets had always filled the gap for me.

But this pandemic has afforded me the chance to telework 2 days a week and I finally pulled the trigger on a new non-gaming laptop on Tuesday and it's coming tomorrow.  Stoked to have my own stuff to abuse. 😆

As an aside does anyone else suffer from analysis paralysis when buying stuff like this?

Yeah, a little bit...but I usually end up telling myself that what I'm looking at will probably be better than what I already have.

So much for the aunts story about the knife being on the ground when she was shot.  The knife was literally in her hand in the process of attempting to stab someone- in front of the police.

Yeah, that’s where I’m having an issue. The aunt was screaming about telling the right story when she wasn’t interested in telling the right story herself. And now there’s a lot of people who aren’t going to bother with the truth.

The officer saved the girl in the pink but I’m wondering if the officer could have put one in her leg instead instead of shooting her 3 or 4 times in the chest and still have saved her.

  8. Figured it would have to be guilty across the board after thinking about how quickly the jury came back with a decision.  They didn't have to deliberate long which means they all saw eye to eye more or less.

Lol @ all the people they're showing on CNN standing out front with their hands in their pockets and confused as what to do.  Looks like they clearly came out to protest and be outraged...and they got what they wanted.  Now they're all like "uhh...what do we do now?"

So... since we got about an hour... what’s the threshold of satisfactory outcome?

is about specific charges? Specific years in prison?

it seems hard to imagine it’s not guilty across the board... but I absolutely wouldn’t be surprised if at the end of the day it’s like a 1-3 year prison sentence or something... hard to think something like that would make anyone satisfied with the justice process...

Slim chance of a satisfactory outcome.

I'm assuming he's guilty of manslaughter, they won't get him on anything else.  Light prison sentence as you said, 1-3 years.  And people are going to be piiiiiiissssssed.

Of course she is.  Narcissists need to get their supply somehow.  I'm sure she was feeling TERRIBLE that she couldn't log on to twitter, post something and have thousands of people tell her how witty/smart/beautiful/wonderful she is.  Anyone who needs that constant feedback and reassurance has some serious issues.

    2000 friends?  Go **** yourself.
