  1. So did anybody see Brock go HAM on the announce team, camera guy, and F5 Michael Cole? A year ago, I really didn't care for Brock. Don't know what happened, but I love how dominating the guy looks in the ring.
  2. Reigns needs new ring attire IMO... doesn't make much sense w/ Rollins and Ambrose going a different direction. Anyone think the'll ever put the Shield back together? Note: I feel funny when I discuss wrestlers attire...I feel like it's the equivalent of the "SKins Gameday Uniforms" Stadium thread.
  3. It also looks like Kim Jong Un was absent from a political anniversary ceremony today, honoring his late father & grandfather. That gout must really have a hold on him...or he's dead and NK is scrambling. Either way, this is super interesting...
  4. I was reading an AMA on Reddit from a NK defector. They said that people are taught that Dear Leader can read minds, so many try to not even think negative thoughts about the regime or country. Can you imagine? People were also speculating on what the biggest surprise and culture shock would be for a defector. Seems like the overwhelming answer was food: the quantity, the availability, and the fact that there's even an expiration date (I guess in NK, since food isn't abundant, there's no need for expiration dates).
  5. So, KJU hasn't been seen in public for close to a month. The North just met with the South to resume talks. Could this be the beginning of the end for the Kim family? http://www.theguardian.com/world/2014/oct/06/kim-jong-un-north-korea-asian-games-athletes
  6. http://www.channelnewsasia.com/news/asiapacific/two-koreas-to-resume/1398050.html
  7. North Korean TV acknowledges leader Kim Jong Un's health problems http://www.reuters.com/article/2014/09/26/us-northkorea-kim-idUSKCN0HL0S520140926 I hear he has been eating a ton of imported cheese from Switzerland that may have contributed to this.
  8. Don't quite get that GIF... does she poke the guy in the dick?
  9. If you think about it, every human is half-centaur.....
  10. But wasn't Lesnar 'Plan C' for the Authority? Seems like Heyman and Lesnar are closer to allies of the Authority than enemies...
  11. ^ Yes! Was just thinking... people already love Bray. He may not be one of those guys who's face/heel, rather an in-betweener. I mean, here we have Lesnar, who completely overpowered the face of the company, SuperCENA. So, who stops him? Who could talk the talk like Paul E? Maybe not one man...maybe it takes 3. Authority in the ring with Brock & Paul E... Paul E starts his spiel: "....my client, BRRR" *lights cut* *lights come on* Wyatts surrounding Brock in the ring! *high pitched Lawler scream* - Could at least play that out for a while & would be entertaining while waiting for Bryan to make his return.
  12. Cesaro w a clean win over Swagger...I'll take it! Is there a more boring character than Curtis Axel? Yawn... (that entire 6-man tag match was a sleeper, minus Ryback being immensely over in his hometown). And I hear Ambrose is shooting a movie so he may be gone for a while which sucks What does everybody think of the new WWE Championship belt? At first, I thought it was hideous...but it's growing on me. I'll forever be a fan of the 80s/90s belt.
  13. I wonder if WWE is going to go anywhere with this Xavier Woods/Kofi/Big E kind-of-stable...
  14. Loved that PPV...even the women's, er, Diva's matchups! Cesaro v RVD - Oh, Cesaro. We hardly knew ye. Still one of my favorite performers, I can't believe he jobbed to RVD via a frog splash. I do have a feeling that he'll get a creative push soon...the talent is too great a few months ago, he was one of the most over superstars on the roster. Stars don't fade that quickly (although maybe StarDust does...) Ziggler v Miz - Yes!! Props to Miz for making yourself so easy to hate. Ziggler excels in the underdog role, so we'll see what happens in the coming weeks. Dude reminds me of Shawn Michaels in the ring. Paige v AJ Lee - Meh, althought I am glad tos ee Paige with the belt. Keep the mean streak alive. Rusev v Jack Swagger - If I were a betting man, I would have lost money on this match. I figured there was no way they would have Swagger lose... mega props to Rusev for selling the ankle injury during the ENTIRETY of the match (something that seems to be a forgotten art). Not sure if this feud is over, but I'm excited to see who will be the next victim of the Accolade. Rollins v Ambrose - Such a great match...I was expecting no less. A little disappointed with the final outcome, but Ambrose losing doesn't really do anything to damage his character. I did enjoy the subtle drama with Ambrose feeling some 'guilt' over feuding with his former 'brother'. These two ought to do a strap match... Jericho v Wyatt - a little boring. I figured Wyatt would go over. Brie v Steph McMahon - Steph was on point! Why Nikki, why?!? (PS loved the slide dropkick to HHH outside of the ring. Great moment!) Orton v Reigns - Lackluster start, but great finishes. Loved the reversals and false finishes. Wonder what will become of Reigns next? His Shield gimmick seems a little dated...or at least his outfit does. Cena v Lesnar - Wow. Just wow. I legit thought the first f5 would pick up the victory in a mega-quash match (a la Diesel v. Mabel). Can't believe they had Lesnar squash SUPERCENALOL. As others have said, I think they may be setting up Reigns vs. Lesnar at Royal Rumble or Mania...and maybe Rollins cashing in at the very end? Loved this PPV.
  15. I hope so...that would actually give Del Rio something to do now. I feel bad for the guy...creative had totally given up on him. Get him with a Diva valet and have him play up the aristocrat role...something! His contract was supposed to be up at the end of the year anyway, so I doubt it's a work
  16. Miz's ring skills as of late have been garbage. Very bad at selling anything, and telegraphs moves way too visibly. On a RAW broadcast a few weeks back, I heard him talking to Dolph in the ring multiple times. Great mic skills and I get behind his shtick, but he needs to shake the rust.
  17. Was anybody else pleasantly surprised at Cena's match last night w/ Cesaro? I actually saw some wrestling! Dare I say it was one of the better matches on the card? The best?? Oh, and R-Truth over Bo Dallas? I coulnd't bo-lieve it!
  18. By leaps and bounds. No Cena?! I'll take it. Battleground didn't need to happen. No need to have a PPV as unimportant as that one. - Happy that Cesaro is at least moving away from Heyman. I liked the move at the time (post Wrestlemania) since he was so over, but he has severly stalled - hopefully we can gain some momentum back w/ the Authority. - Loved the Paige heel turn. Got some legit heat, too! - Dolph got one over on Miz! Awesome! Anybody else/see Miz talking to Dolph throughout the match? Dude's gotta do a better job of hiding that, he gave away part of the match. He's also pretty sloppy Wish they didn't put the strap on him. - Loving the Nation of Domination 2.0. I had no idea who that was in the white suit when I tuned in...I thought I had missed an arc. Although...Kofi as a heel? I could get down with that... - Why is Khali even wrestling? He missed 2 boots and even Michael Cole couldn't save him on those. Can't believe that kick to the shoulder brought Khali down (hahaha)... I suppose Rusev did all he could do work this match. Can't believe he got a clean win. Also, did WWE catch backlash when they talked about the 'recent events' re: flight 17 @ Battleground? - Stefanie getting arrested = awesome. I love bits like this. - If Rollins really is injured, they ought to crank out a few vids of Rollins at his house/in public where Ambrose stalks and attacks him (think SCSA in Vince's hospital room) to hold us over til Summerslam. Loving Ambrose right now. - So let's assume Brock wins the title from Cena @ Summerslam.... Are we to think that Seth Rollins will challenge Brock for the title? Maybe when Brock wins, Rollins will rush in as he's getting up and give him a curb-stomp for the 1,2,3.
  19. Bray's body provided a nice cushion for Jericho. Also, and take this for what it's worth... the dude sitting next to me said he was offered to go backstage where he saw Flair and a bunch of superstars eating...standard stuff. Then he said he saw Bray Wyatt with a huge shiner on his eye. Maybe someone decided to have the whole world in their hand when they punched him... Also, Seth Rollins sent out a tweet Monday morning about being ecstatic that a little cafe here called Urban Farmhouse put some sort of butter in his coffee. Oh, Seth.
  20. Went to the show last night in Richmond, had a great time (my buddy had the "Putin 3:16" sign, as well as the "Lawler's Shirt Sux" sign. A few notes: Biggest pops of the night by far were during the Rusev/Swagger bit. when Lana was yelling "shut up! shut up!" I'm telling you, that place was deafening! Even more so than when Roman or Orton came out. Very entertaining (although it was funny when Obama's pic came up on the tron - mixed woos and boos, lol) - Michael Cole's theme song is one of the lamest tunes I've ever heard. Good thing it was cut off promptly by JBL's bell... - The crowd wants to love Cesaro, and does, but it's tough cheering for him consistently when they book him as the heel. And his music is also awful. BUT, I will say this. After seeing him & Big E go at it last night, I have a new-found respect for Big-E. Very few ghost-punches, and both of those dudes went at it hard. - Loved the Ziggler bit, just because I love Ziggler. He saw a sign that said "push Ziggler" and looked at the dude and said "right??". Pretty funny. - Richmond seemed to be mesmerized by Y2J... it was a great promo and crowd reacted well. - Same with Flair. Loved the bit about "boy oh boy, I've had some wild times in Richmond...just ask your parents!" - Richmond hates Cena, too... - Kane looks really really slow. - Still don't get the sister Abagail finisher. Looks like it hurts Bray more than the recipient. - Pissed that Ambrose wasn't there! - I actually watched the divas matches (usually skip through em) and they weren't too bad. AJ is so tiny! - All in all, a really fun live show. Everyone was clamoring for Sting, but I could tell it just wasn't going to happen. Next to no good merch, either...
  21. I'm going to RAW next week in Richmond... If Sting shows up, I will **** my pants.
