  1. (Insert "Bro, it's a suggestion" handshake gif here, if one exists) Seems reasonable...I wasn't sure what would be the interesting parts so I went with everything lol...
  2. Yeah, I wouldn't trust Trump having access to the bond account, either...that would be stupidity at its finest.
  3. Not everyone has a Twitter account, and you need one now to read the tweets last I remember. Not everyone even wants to visit Twitter even if they could read the tweets without having an account. There's next to no difference between posting the tweet with the text, or just posting the text outside of just posting the text is MUCH easier to follow.
  4. "Blanche: Stormy has made hundreds of thousands of dollars for her story about her affair with Trump. She has written a book. She owes Trump $600K as a result of her legal cases against Trump. "This is important: Ms. Daniels doesn't have any idea about the charged 34 counts in this case. She has no idea what Cohen wrote on the invoice. No idea how it was booked at Trump Tower. No idea about the checks. Her testimony, while salacious, doesn't matter." "Blanche: "Please listen to the evidence. Use your common sense. We're New Yorkers. That's why we're here." "10-minute recess now that Blanche is done with Opening."
  5. Blanche: "@MichaelCohen212 is obsessed with Donald Trump. Cohen has talked extensively about Trump going to prison." "Blanche repeatedly calling Cohen a liar. Prosecution objects and the parties approach for a sidebar." "Merchan: the objection is sustained." "Blanche: Cohen's entire financial livelihood depends on Trump's destruction."
  6. "Blanche goes after Stormy Daniels by claiming she was trying to extort Trump. Prosecution objects and it is sustained." "Blanche: Entering into a non disclosure agreement is perfectly legal. People who are wealthy or famous enter into non disclosure agreements regularly and there is nothing illegal about it." Trump and Cohen in 2016: "And... we have our first sidebar of the morning during Opening Statements. Why? B/c Blanche told the jury that the agreement was made with the involvement of lawyers. The prosecution immediately objected. Why was this objectionable? B/c Judge Merchan previously ruled that Trump could not maintain the attorney/client privilege and at the same time, tell the jurors that he believed his actions were lawful because lawyers were involved on both sides of the agreement. Judge Merchan sustains the objection and orders that Blanche's last comments be stricken from the record."
  7. Blanche: "Would a frugal businessman…Would a man who pinches pennies…repay a 130k debt to the tune of 420k? This was not a payback.” Blanche: "Spoiler alert. There's nothing wrong with trying to influence an election." Blanche: "It's called democracy."
  8. (I'll put the defense opening statements separate from the prosecution's opening statements) The Defense Opening (by Blanche): "He's innocent. President Trump did not commit any crimes. The Manhattan DA's Office should never have brought this case." Blanche: "We will call him President out of respect...He is not only a President. He's a man, a husband, a father. He's just like me." Me: Ummmmmm... "Blanche: Each month, Cohen sent an invoice to Trump Tower for $35K and this invoice was for legal services rendered pursuant to a retainer agreement. The invoice was processed and a check was generated and signed. The record/ledger reflected the invoice. Trump is the only signatory on his personal checking account so that's why he signed the ones with his name on it." Blanche: "This business records violation, these 34 counts are really just 34 pieces of paper, the checks that were generated because of invoices and records notations …NONE OF THIS WAS A CRIME."
  9. "Prosecution: Addresses Michael Cohen's credibility head-on by telling the jury that Cohen lied to protect his boss and that he ultimately pleaded guilty and went to jail for causing both an unlawful corporate campaign contribution and making an unlawful contribution of his own."
  10. "THIS: Colangelo says the Trump Organization couldn't cut Cohen a check with the memo line reading: "Reimbursement for porn star payoff." “So they agreed to cook the books” and made it look like the reimbursement to Cohen was actually income for services rendered." "Cohen submitted fake invoices for reimbursement. Trump's accounting staff at Trump Tower processed every one of those fake invoices and recorded them in their ledgers falsely as legal services payments." "The first 2 checks were paid from the Donald J. Trump Revocable Trust. Trump was the beneficiary of that trust. The remaining checks were paid from Trump's personal bank accounts and Trump signed those checks himself while he was President."
  11. "Prosecution: Dino the Doorman and Karen McDougal were paid off by Trump, after Trump tells Cohen to take of it. Pecker pays $30K to Dino. Cohen told Pecker not to release Dino from his NDA until after the 2016 election when it could no longer hurt Trump's campaign. "Then Cohen recorded a conversation with Trump in Sept 2016 and you will hear the recording. …Cohen says he will create a company to buy McDougal’s story and he spoke with Allan Weisselberg how to set it up and you will hear Trump say “so what do we have to pay for this? 150?” "Less than 6 weeks before election day and Cohen made a deal with Pecker to sell the rights to Trump and this way Pecker gets paid and Trump owns the rights." "Prosecution: Regarding Stormy Daniels: Cohen came up with a deal to buy her story with an NDA and her lawyer said she would not disclose her story in exchange for a payment of $130,000. Trump wanted to delay payment for as long as possible and Cohen was able to put it off for a period of time..." "Prosecution: Cohen spoke to Weisselberg and Trump. Trump did not want to write a check so after discussing they agreed Cohen would pay the money through a shell company and they confirmed Trump would reimburse Cohen. So Cohen laid out his own money and on Oct 26, 2016 Cohen made two calls to Trump, and then he crossed the street to the bank and opened an account in the name of "Essential Consultants LLC" and the next day Cohen wired 130,000 to Stormy’s lawyers…" Trump: "WITCH HUNT!!!"* *not really lol...
  12. "Prosecution (paraphrased): Trump said in the business records that he was paying Michael Cohen for legal services, but those were lies because there was no legal retainer…the defendant falsified business records to hide his criminal conduct….34 business records to cover up the conspiracy..." "Prosecution: Trump invited David Pecker to that infamous Trump Tower meeting in 2015. Cohen was also present. Cohen's job was to be Trump's fixer. The men came to an agreement: Pecker would be the “eyes and ears” for the Trump Campaign and he would gather info that would be harmful to Trump’s candidacy and report it to Cohen. Then AMI would attack Trump’s political rivals in their coverage; and they would promote Trump in positive headlines. Pecker then enlisted Enquirer Editor-in-Chief, Dylan Howard, to help. Many of the Enquirer's headlines were shown in advance to Trump and Cohen."
  13. I love me some Katie Phang...(and if you say her name really fast when making that statement, it sounds unnecessarily sexual lol)
  14. I think they do, yeah...I remember it being reported that since Trump's lawyers don't know who the first witnesses will be they can't really use that to their advantage in their opening statements today.
  15. No sweat, proving you wrong takes little to know effort lol...
