The comment where he mentioned "Kyle Allen could have turned this around as well", was just totally unnecessary. Why bring Kyle Allen up out of nowhere and undermine what Alex did?

Question: Could you have been in this position this year right now where you are before the playoffs without Alex?

"Well, if we had a healthy Kyle Allen, I think we could've. I really do," Rivera said. "I think we could've. And a big part of the reason is because Kyle, he's very similar to Alex in terms of his abilities. He's got the same kind of arm. He makes good decisions like Alex does. He's got good footwork. I think we could've been. I do."

What is he supposed to say? At that point it was pretty well known that Alex wasn't coming back and Kyle was.

It's not just with Haskins, this staff handles their QBs in a way that alienates them and undermines their confidence and I think I'm one of the only posters here who recognizes and acknowledges this because I was one of the only posters who actually saw value in Haskins.

This may be one of the most obsurd things I have read today. And I have been on Twitter and Facebook already.

I'm starting to think that maybe our best bet would be to invest heavily in FA and the draft, roll with Heinicke and see where we get. Then maybe swing for the fences with Aaron Rodgers next year. I honestly think that if we draft (1)LT (2)WR-Elijah Moore? (3)RB and sign Allen Robinson, that if Heinicke could stay healthy, we could be really really good.

    This. 1000 x do this!

Get a WR, TE, G, T, LB x2, CB, S this year. 4 with the picks in rounds 1-3, 4 in FA.

Trade down a time or two and get some extra picks for next years draft. THEN go get the QB.

  4. It's really simple to see what we should do:

    Trade the 19 for a 2nd in 2021 and a 2nd in 2022

    Trade the newly acquired 2nd in 2021 for a 3rd in 2021 and a 2nd in 2022

    Trade the newly acquired 3rd for a 4th in 2021 and a 3rd in 2022

    2021 we now have: 2, 3, 3, 4, 4, 5, 7, 7

    2022 we now have: 1, 2, 2, 2, 3, 3

In 2022 we trade a 1, 2, 2, 3 to move up in the draft and take Kedon Slovis, QB, USC

Oh, I didn't expect Republicans to reveal this information.  (Maybe in a primary fight.  But maybe not.  It might help her in the R primary.)

But the Dems and the "liberal media" should have found out all this before the election.  Well, at least the parts that existed before the election.

Read the info out there about the guy who was set to run against her. Its awful what he went through, why he dropped out, and why people are scared to run against her type.

So, what’s the difference between the ability to be tested daily and vaccinating athletes? Aren’t they important to returning to normalcy and aren’t they leaders and role models?

There’s something sadistic to me about saying “athletes don’t get to cut in line”. As if there’s no benefit at all to the public at large to getting athletes vaccinated. It’s not like there’s a huge number of them to really, really tip the scales. It’s a drop in the bucket.

There is a pretty good argument to putting entertainment type people at the front of the line. If you want people to stay home and away from each other, give them something to do / watch. BUT you also need to give them (the people at home) the necessary $ so that they can afford to stay home.

Ok, Sammy tested positive after the Tuesday night Pens game.

Now my question is, the penalty is from BEFORE the game because the Caps came home after the game. So the penalty is meant as an example for the league. Sammy sat on the bench the entire game. So why are the Russians forced to quarantine? It still doesn’t make any sense. The league’s statement is still that the quarantine/penalty is for being social without masks.

You're likely to be shedding the virus in the days before a positive test.

Caps don’t have potential spread. The Caps are “high risk close contacts” and placed on the COVID reserve. There is no positive test. In order to have potential spread there has to be a positive case.

EDIT: The Stars didn’t have spread during a game. They haven’t played yet.

We can revisit the first part in a few days if you like but you are wrong that there are no positive test.

Stars spread was doing normal training camp events, technically correct, not during a game, but also not breaking protocol.

It’s a stupid rule when you permit said players to participate in games and celebrate without masks. Especially on the road when you literally lock them in the hotel and test them every day.

It's a no win situation. They are at home with family before going on the road. Super easy for 1 player to get it and then pass it to the team if they gather in a hotel room playing cards for hours.  Also super easy for a player to pass it to his linemate who sits beside him on the bench for 40 minutes, half of those minutes while breathing super heavy post shift.

The team league, team, and player statement are all in agreement that it was players gathering in hotel rooms. NHL policy states that only 1 player is permitted in there room. No visitors.  “In their hotel room and outside of team approved areas.”

Right. The post i said thats not true to was insinuating that it wasn't a big deal, noone was probably covid positive, and the league was making an example out of them.

I was simply saying that is not true.

My *guess* is there may have been an additional person, not a member of the team, in that hotel room with them. Otherwise not sure how it gets out.

If they’re seriously required to miss a week or two? of the already shortened season just for hanging out with the same group of people they already are around every day, it’s an incredibly stupid rule. No logical reason for it.

Or one of them had it before the road trip but didn't know.

Well, the locker room is not big enough to house an entire team and coaching staff and be socially distant. And face masks are not required in the locker room.

They are spread out into the players lounge portion of the lockerroom and yes, they wear masks in the locker room.

Well, with Pat Freiermuth leaving for the NFL, the top three tights ends at Penn State next season have last names of Strange, Kuntz, and Johnson.  I'm not making this up.

At one point in high school I was dating a girl who's last name was Dicks.  My sister was dating a guy who's last name was Cox.  Our last name is Johnson.
