They will fail.  But that doesn't mean they shouldn't try.  (I haven't watched the clip, I've just seen the title)

ill save you the trouble of having to listen to that guy speak.

he said “if washington passes on Jayden its a huge mistake.”

what a dolt. Id pull up his talent evaluation record, but i think we already know its abysmal.

This fanbase remain patient? No chance of that 😆

Its very possible but depends on the expectations set by the front office and coaches.

As long as team leadership are honest and as transparent as possible with the fanbase, anything is possible.

ill speak for myself, Im more than willing to give this thing at least 2-3 years depending on how things look on the field.

I do expect whoever is picked at two to start right away, and I also dont expect to win anything this season. I know some people will point to Houston last year, but I doubt that is the internal expectation. I think internally they expect more along the lines of how Peters described the SF rebuild. It was something along the lines of “being proud of the team right away, but not winning the division until year 3” (i think this was the intro presser)

They love someone.  Exciting.  While I lean Daniels I like Maye also.  Looking forward to Thursday and opening day where I will be happily rooting for whomever they take at #2.

Unless it's JJ.  If thats the pick Im done.

punting on the team before the kid even plays a snap?

or wait and see how he does and then punt?

Yep it either means Maye is the true number 2 in most teams eyes or that the Giants/Vikings prefer Daniels. My guess is that they want Daniels and someone planted a seed to make it seem like passing on Maye would be idiotic (maybe it is). I have a hard time believing the collusion it would take for so many sources around the league believe Daniels is number 2 and report it out that way but who knows.

Both agents are working overtime to control the narrative.

I'm surprised how volatile the draft proposition bets are. I had never paid attention to it before this year.

If somebody had real inside information they could make a killing, if they made a wager when the odds peaked in their favor.

Most books limit action on these types of bets.  Same with player props during the season. Most I've ever gotten down on a prop bet is $500, so if you want to get serious money down on that type of bet you'd need to spread it out across multiple books.  Kind of a pain in the ass, but it's definitely possible.

This is the perfect time to get a small bet down on Maye at plus odds. Even JJ is worth a look at 10-1.

These markets run on public perception, though, and there is a reason Vegas keeps building more casinos.

The most recent monstrosity they built was a massive Sportsbook with a 140 foot screen.

Stuff like this is built off the backs of Jayden Daniels -300 bets lol.

Apparently there is "league-wide consensus" that Daniels is the QB2 of this draft. I put that in quotes because nobody professes to know whether Peters agrees with that "consensus". But there you have it. That's the most we're going to get until likely Thursday.

It’s going to be funny watching all the talking heads doing the moonwalk this weekend lol

This lens is why I started coming around on McCarthy. Sure Maye and Daniels are more physically talented, perhaps even significantly so. But if McCarthy is good enough, and he's far better at the mental stuff... does that end up winning the day?

This is the glaring blind spot for “armchair GMs”. We don’t get to see or hear the interview process. We’re not privy to the top golf alpha test results.

We’re basically flying blind on one of the most important elements of the eval.

DQ and GMAP have both made some interesting comments on this, but again, hard to tell exactly what is valued and how heavily it’s valued.

I can easily deduce that JJ will win the day based on the leadership and intangibles but I have no clue what the actual grade is.

Hopefully Keim and others will ask great questions during the post draft presser so we can learn more about this groups process.  Until then it’s dart throwing with one arm behind the back, 7 shots of everclear, and a bird box blindfold.
