    Dude, it means he's a Restricted Free Agent with this team. If you know that then it means we own his rights as a free agents. If he hit's FA we have the right to match any offer another team makes. He's had 5 quarters of play in the NFL. It won't be expensive to keep him He'll be a WFT player on our roster next year. It's all good.

    Read the CBS link posted above. They THINK so I don't put much into CBS articles but I hope they are correct on that part of the article. You could be right.

    One thing I do like is that Kyle Smith's name is mentioned and my hope is he's the pick as our new GM even though whoever get's the job reports to RR and he makes the final decisions.

    Looks like RR is going to take his time with the GM search according to the tweets above. I mean Saturday for the next candidate. Sure seems that way but we wait to see how it plays out. Thanks for posting the info as always, SIP.

    My guess by the end of this week at the latest Cowden is named the new GM of this team. Interviews can be done via video so I expect it to happen quickly. Hurney might be brought in as a Senior Consultant. In the end, I think Cowden is the pick.

    I respect your opinion but I think Kyle Smith is the next McVay when it comes to GMs. Hoping the new hire amounts to the next McVay in talents of GM.

    I can live with that but I would like to see Smith given the title of AGM.

    JP thinks that Cowden has the edge and will be the new GM. It's still early.

    If we could have that I'd be happy but it would mean we'd see Smith leave at some point in time. I'd rather it be the other way around but having Smith as our AGM would make me happy!

    I have read some WFT beat reporters, forget who on twitters saying Hurney could be brought in as a Senior non GM and Cowden as GM. Take it as a grain of salt for now.

    I don't like the fact of Smith leaving and am not a Mayhew fan but if Cowden is the pick then I guess we all have to live with it. It's RR's show.

    My hopes are that Kyle Smith finishes his business career with the WFT. A true gem this team is fortunate to have and if they let him go we will see another McVay take place with a potential GM vs. a HC.

    Maybe so but his Dad was a GM for years in S.D. and Buffalo. As long as Smith stays I'm good but if he leaves just watch whatever team he goes to take off. Big supporter of Smith.

    Cowden is pretty much our Kyle Smith but has more experience. I like Kyle but as I've said on other media it's RR dog and pony show. RR has ties to Cowden as well.

    I think he has been. If another team scoops Kyle Smith up as a GM and he ends up leaving WFT I think it's the biggest staff mistake made since RR took over. In the end it sounds like to me it will be Hurney Senior non GM role with Cowden as our new GM.

    Both TH (RFA) and Allen (ERFA) are under control of the WFT. I still expect them to be given contract. Maybe not guaranteed ones but they'll be signed especially Allen. They traded for him and he was doing pretty good before his injury.
