  1. Grading the draft immediately is what conversation & forums are about. It’s entertainment, not a report to the nsa. Wizads fans, overwhelmingly, wanted Washington to take Leonard. Every Wizards site had a poll, even the old espn boards, and Leonard was the fans pick on all of them. It’s not nearly as complicated as it seems. People would have been cynical if we had taken Giannis at 3, but he was the most talented prospect by far... just take the talent, every time.
  2. No kidding, that’s the reason they’re available, it’s something I pointed out repeatedly. The Wizards had an atrocious draft, there are 500 players who could start for this team today, that doesn’t make a guy a good pick at 9. Ridiculously naive, my friend. Boom or bust prospects get us back in the top of the draft or out of mediocrity. We drafted guys who have the potential to be average, there is nothing worse than being average. You can’t build a contender drafting safe, solid, rotational, limited, low floor prospects. The Hawks crushed the process, again. The 76ers weren’t concerned with durability & they nearly beat Toronto with their injury prone youngsters. You just grab talent, durability is a laughable measurement. We will be a durable #6 - #15 in the east for another decade.
  3. I would have taken Robinson at 15 a year ago, and he’d have been worth it. As the draft went on, I wanted to trade up a spot for Porter, which wouldn’t have required much at all, and then bought an early round 2 pick & left with both Porter & Robinson. Bols injury concerns may may be more significant than we realize, but the draft is about boom/bust guys for teams like Washington, there is nothing worse than taking guys who can only be good enough to make the decision to resign them difficult. We grabbed a guy who specializes in the mid range game, which is the most useless talent in basketball. Neither guy we picked has much upside & both are over 21 years old... we are the worst team in the nba, we need talent... decent players are always available ...nba teams give average players away. We couldn’t have possibly done anything worse, imo. Porter as well. Bright teams do bright things. We do Washington things. Literally no one is “up in arms” over Reddish. Rui addresses nothing.
  4. Facebook jumping into crypto, it’s probably not dying any time soon. Silly ES experts - adorable thread, btc nearing 10k. Projects you’ll want to invest in: ltc eth xrp qnt link Hedera algorand ada Elixxir Hedera is a phenomenal project, you can get free hbars participating in some simple exercises online with them. Quantum is available to purchase now, it’s got as much growth potential as any. Xrp is being integrated with MoneyGram & more banks are on the way, ltc has a halving coming up in less than 2 months. Overledger - hashgraph - r3 - Hyperledger - ilp - dlt - polysign - cobalt the future nears as Libra is set to introduce the world to crypto. Don’t listen to the goobers that initiated the thread, they are out of their depth. Make some money, you’re welcome.
  5. The fact that we could have easily ended the night with Reddish, Bol, Lecque & Cheatham, and instead ended it with Hoochie momma, Schofield, & Davis ... is disgusting.
  6. Suns get Lecque because we hate talent. We are the Washington lunchpails. Cheatham to the Pels. #ErnieStrong *Hoard to Portland.
  7. Schofield can ball, he’s a better prospect than Grant Williams who went in the top 25 as he was promised he would. He will be a favorite in Washington quickly, but we should have taken Bol or Lecque. https://stats.nba.com/articles/2019-nba-draft-profile-admiral-schofield/ More than just a shooter - showing ability with his athleticism and strength in several ways. Scored an elite 1.509 points per Transition possession [98th percentile] running the wings aggressively and finishing emphatically with a head of steam. Got another 21% of his possessions from isolations or post ups, showing the ability to make aggressive straight-line drives, face-up jumpers, and an occasional fadeaway or step back jumper. Keeps things simple as a slasher. Got 26% of his shots in the half court around the rim and scored an above average 1.217 points per finishing opportunity [68th percentile]. Has room to pick and choose his spots a bit better. He worked Hachimura & Clarke when they beat the Zags, he can play.
  8. Lecque, Cheatham, & Hoard come on down. Admiral was born in England while his father was serving our country.
  9. Atl is going to be fun to watch, Collins, Young, Reddish, Huerter, Hunter... I’d trade our entire roster for any combination of 2.
  10. He can’t be great, he can’t be terrible, the worst thing possible... a good player who will demand too much money and make absolutely no difference in helping us build a contender. The worst profile imaginable.
  11. The realist in me thinks Ernie was only fired for show and is still running the show.
  12. T.J. WARRENPF, INDIANA PACERS The Pacers have acquired T.J. Warren and the No. 32 pick in the draft from Phoenix, according to Adrian Wojnarowski. Indiana will take Warren into their available salary cap space and send cash back to Phoenix. This was a pure salary dump for the Suns, who wanted to clear a logjam on the wings while getting rid of the three years and $35 million left on Warren's deal. The Pacers only have Doug McDermott under contract at the SF position next season, and Warren's arrival gives them some insurance if Bojan Bogdanovic leaves in free agency. Expect plenty more trades as draft night heats up.
  13. Hawks moving 5 picks already, Washington doing nothing while far better teams are aggressively pursuing 2nd rounders. Ted needs to get out of basketball, nobody wants to work for/with him other than weekendaternies. Last years 2nd rounder wouldn’t get time in a 30 team league of ESers.
  14. Short & long are the only acceptable misses, if you work on your shot.
  15. Few things are better than draft days in the district. Bol Bol Edwards Lecque Schofield Lets go 🤙 2019: Haskins Sweat Adley Gunnar Bol Lecque
  16. I love the talent at 9 and the fact that he hit over 77% from the ft line, but I didn’t realize he was nearly 20 already. 🤨 The other prospects all talk about him like he’s the best player they’ve ever seen, I take that into consideration, perhaps more than I should.
  17. Pick 35, their 4th pick of the night. Speculation is they’re going to move that one as well. Clev stinks, but we could get a lot more than that for Beal from a team that wants to compete next season. The Knicks want Beal to help entice KI & KD, I’d take everything I could get from them and be done with fighting for mediocrity.
