All the others want ungodly amounts for stock images. Anyone know of a good cheap site? 

I come here to talk politics and world events, and any other assorted nonsense we come up with. I find ES a great sourcing site.. and then I can read on these topics wherever i want. I may not 'get' my news here, but i get what is going on, and then some. I don't have any single site for news.. I will look at the same stories on different places.

DVIDS - Defense Visual Information Distribution Service (dvidshub.net)   I go here a lot for work. This is the official media repository for the Dept. of Defense. If you like military pics of any sort, this is a fine rabbit hole to drop in. The search engine and site design is a bit clunky, but it's a treasure trove. If you do go and search, say an aircraft, give it the name rather than the designation number..  like search "Hornet" rather than F-18. Also, a free acct allows full size downloads, and they are big enough for high quality prints.

Udemy: I am a graphic designer and I am self taught,  and to keep ahead of the curve, I use udemy.com a LOT. Excellent training site on a lot of topics, and inexpensive. In the last year, i have learned Sharepoint from scratch in here. Good courses, well broken out. Both beginner and advanced courses.
*Nice tip: If you want to take a course in there, put it in your cart and leave it there. In about a week or so the price will suddenly drop drastically.

We all know all of this. If it doesn't work once and you don't do the utmost to prevent it, it will happen again. There is a REASON treason is punishable by death practically universally, and i am not being hyperbolic at all. 
These people tried to violently overthrow our government, and they were aided by sitting members of congress and the outgoing President of the United States who TRIED TO HAVE THE VP KILLED.
We have not only let them off easy, we have normalized what they have done with cowardly journalism and it will enable them again. Right now as i type and as you read there are propaganda outlets operating right on TV telling them to do it again, fomenting the feelings that drive it, and directing their audience specifically at their enemies. 
And hey, we let it happen. We're too afraid to be the adults in the room. We will be overly cautious about rights, which I agree with until a point, and these rights are being used against us.

And they will do it again, and this time it'll be more violent. This time they will have learned.

There is always going to be the appearance of some dirt in most things political, and I think a lot of folks on the right when they do find something that is borne out to be true about their guy in a positive way, or one of these messy little interactions of politics and investigation shows it's face, they decide that gives them carte blanche to ignore the rest of the picture.
the ol' party over country takes on a much more serious tone when the party is involved with an adversary as deeply as it appears he is. (And others.)
One of the underlying bad things about this is we do need a conservative voice in our government. We do need dissenting opinion. AND with it we need the ability to work toward common ground for the good of the country. It's always been one of our greatest strengths.

But right now, frankly, we can't trust where that voice is coming from, and in my mind at least, it is coming from Putin.
