  1. We’re playing a first place schedule with a last place team.  Well earn our stripes this season.  No doubt we will.  I tell ya what tho…I love our team.  I don’t love the defense as it is currently coordinated, but I love the team.

I truly believe we pull together and learn some lessons about winning this season. This isn’t pop tart football.  We are rebuilding a brand from darkest of holes.  We are doin it the right way.

tough loss to a team that’s had to go thru similar issues.  We’re not too far off….we do still have a ways.

I say enjoy the ride.  We will be perennial soon

  2. It?….there’s no moment too large.  Matter of fact, those with “it” thrive under the spotlight.  They have an energy, an infectious energy, that never says die regardless of how the chips are stacked.  “It” is easy to follow because “it” gets it done when it matters most.

Seems like typical WFT, asking players to do things outside their skill set.

I think those days are gone.  We’re establishing what we do offensively and defensively.  Now we draft to that.  Collins is a hold over.  We let him play and maybe someone gives us something.  He’s gone after this season either way

  4. It’s a Division W.  We had no injuries of note.  4 balled his brains out.  Scary Terry showed he’s the man.  AG ran with force.

    our D?…meh.

the giants have owned us.  Jones had owned us.  We pulled out a win.

    no xtra credit for style.

And that has nothing to do with any of this. We'd all love for him to emerge as a top QB and our long term solution. But declaring bluntly that it's so after 2 good games and then calling people who want to see more before deciding "haters" or saying they're "underestimating" him is silly.

I'd guess that the coaches are likewise taking the same wait and see approach for now.

Simply stating my opinion bro.  Guess you’re that guy…there’s always one I suppose

I love how anything not lavishly praising him is called "hate" or "underestimating"

He played well. I want to see more before I start believing he could be the QB of the future. After 2 starts, I don't think that's an unfair position to take. Doesn't mean I'm hating on or underestimating Heinicke. Just being realistic.

he’s been underestimated since he left ODU my friend.  It’s ok.  I’m not trying to make it personal.  Just rooting for 4 to be our guy.

He threw a terrible pick late (great play by the DB) but he bounced right back and stepped up when it counted the most & that means a whole lot.

Why that play was called is beyond me lol, but I digress.  Yes, having the resilience to bounce back and move the team for a fg after that headscratching int can’t be undervalued.  He’s no youngin.  He plays with Vet savvy and a healthy moxie

Because we are developing him now and willing to put up with the ups and downs of an inexperienced journeyman QB?

If we are in playoff contention, Taylor stays.  If we arent but close, Fitz has to go in.  If season ends early, have to ask why before going into next year with Taylor as the starter.

He starts because he has earned it.  Not in training camp or OTSs.  But in a playoff performance and a Thursday PrimeTime performance.  4 didn’t manage the game for us.  4 was a major reason why we won.  Develop?…he’s been around pro football mostly since 2016.  He’s sat…watched…just not with us.  Thing is…he did…under turner.  He’s ready.  He’s proving it.  What else do folks need to see?

I see Johnny Football without the head case.  He’s not just hometown boy makes good.  He’s a baller that has his team rallied.  The stage isn’t too big for him.  He humbly embraces his role and is a straight pistol as a competitor.

    I ride with 4.  He’s my QB

Its all good, Noticed that, too, but do you blame us as fans?  Whens the last time our franchise got this right?  Lost count how many times I've been right or wrong since I've been here, a lot of it because of hope, I know better now.

As has been noted, we are so desperate for good QB play that we lose context on how other franchise go through this process. Its an inexact science that i cant say we all have a lot of good experience with when looking at our how our franchise does it, we gotta look at other teams that get this right and mess this up all the time, too.

I'm not sure I'm ready to invest years in developing Taylor yet, thats what I feel like I'm being asked, right or wrong.

Players were with Fitz in August, next man up.  I was nervous about the preseason play, but Rivera mus of saw something to name Fitz the starter over Taylor.

Ron went with the Vet.  It’s a Ron move.  Ron’s also the kind of coach to allow players to earn their way.  4 earned his way on the squad with last seasons performance.  4 earned the keys last night and I think Ron is sleeping well knowing he has his man.  Only way we see fitz is if 4 gets hurt.  It’s 4s team now.

  10. The throw on that wheel route to jd was pure throwing art.  One of the most difficult throws to make.  4 did it with enough touch for jd to take it in stride.

the td throw to sj is exactly what we w been clamoring for in our qbs for years!…just give our guys a chance to make plays.  4 does that with calculated precision.

Calling the audible and running the ball in for a td was a veteran move.  Getting us to line in enough time to make such calls is a thing of beauty.  He brings tempo and efficiency.

I’m happy he’s our QB.  I wouldn’t have it any other way.  And if he continues to win, a lot of the 757 fan base will return.

    …it’s happening folks.

Btw…I’m an old old head…been using this moniker since the pre extreme skins days.  Back when it was just a message board.  Ima 🦕 lol.  It’s my old USAF call sign.  Took me a lil while after 9/11 to officially join the sight after the transition.

and for the first time since 99…Stone Cold is cracking brews and Hell Yeahlin with excitement.  Things are looking up.  And that’s the bottom line

It’s definitely circular logic but you can’t argue he would be a statistical anomaly. Hell HE would tell you that. And then from the looks of it throw for 400 yards and a few TDs on that ass lol.

It’s ok guys, we can still root for him and want to see more. That’s not any kind of knock on him or you 😅

The Rex Cannon has been mentioned. So that’s like 9 so far.

    (I’m not Taylor Hein, I don’t maths)

He’s way too cerebral to be Rex.  He actually reads a d presnap.  And it’s awesome to finally see

Here’s a weird comp that feels kind of right…

Johnny Manziel didnt have prototypical size, didn’t have a great arm but was a gunslinger, wasn’t an all-world sprinter but was thought of as a tough scrambler, and was considered to have toughness and moxie. Maybe a good comp for Heinicke is “Johnny Manziel with a work ethic and no addiction issues, and if he wasn’t an asshole”.

weird… was just thinking the same.  Heinie Man is Johnny Football without the issues
