  1. thru thick and thin.  I was raised during thick years (80s/91).  It turned south on a dime.  It could turn north the exact same way.  I will never give up on my team because the second I do, it’ll click, we’ll get a qb and I would’ve suffered 30 years for nada.  I holding strong.  It’s what real fans do

I’m fully convinced the NFL, NFLPA, and owners protect bad people and only oust them when forced too.  Look at some of the people that have remained in the league.  Animal abusers, sexual offenders, racists, murderers, domestic abusers, etc.  The league is dirty.

It’s sooooooo dirty.  And as long as folk continue to pay $ for the product, that dirt just goes away.
the nfl is a multi billion dollar machine.  What’s the root of all evil again?

Spiller is really impressive tonight thus far against Alabama. The dude has such quick feet for a dude his size.

A & M is playing with fire. Upset brewing maybe.

A&M’s team speed is for real.  That kickoff return…not a lot of dudes in college football with a gear to pull away like that

Jay Gruden made an interesting observation that Terry isn’t a natural catcher of the football, but doesn’t drop anything. It’s like he wills himself each time to catch the ball… extreme level of concentration.

Gary Clark was in the same mold.  A double catching make it look easy and hard kinda wr.  And he never got the respect either

Ok then we just disagree on how much a guy has to show. I'm not going to pronounce any QB to be the guy without at least 1 season under his belt. There have just been too many QBs who have flashed for parts of a season or for 1 season and who then went on to fizzle out. Almost too many to list.

Sure you have superstars who you could almost immediately tell that they were going to be forces in the league, but that's insanely rare. The only recent one that comes to mind is Mahomes. But he also sat a year before taking the helm.

Heinicke has played well overall and has shown some great flashes, but IMO there are still legit concerns.

I understand.  Trend analysis is important and it does work.  However, anomalies are always there.  4 is an anomaly.  You have to trust your eyes.  We’ve been let down a crap ton over the past 30 years.  When a guy falls in our lap we’re skeptical.  I get it.  Somewhat.

There's a really weird contradiction there. First you admit that he's hardly had any playing time, then you go on to say you've seen enough.

I seriously doubt he's rooting against Heinicke and/or the team doing well. Do you think I'm rooting against Heinicke because I point out some concerns with his play and I'm not all-in on pronouncing him as the guy at this point?

Not a contradiction at all.  I’m simply saying 4 has done more in a half season than the season plus half we’d have to give a young qb to get the same answer. 4 has shown me enough in a few games with our team that he can be the guy.

to make it crystal clear:  ima 4 guy.  We don’t have to pay him now.  That’s a perfect situation.  when it comes time for his payday, the decision makers will decide where he fits.  For now?….I loooooove the dude.  He’s my QB lol

When I hear "he's our guy", I hear folks wanting to give him a contract extension after 5 games.  Folks really want to give this guy $30-$40 million a year and he hasn't beat a team with a winning record yet?  Yikes.

Cart before the horse.  We…well me…is pulling for him to get it.  4 doesn’t have even a half season of games started…I’ve seen enough.  Do I want him to get paid?…well, if he’s lookin $, that means he did his job well.  You’re not in on that?  Ok cool.  But why?

This **** is going in circles.

If we commit to Taylor, hes going to get coaching and development to help with his accuracy issues.

But folks trying to stay objective in here are getting remmed for it, its not right.  Not much you can do with folks that are all in, pick your battles.

You HAVE to commit to your QB.  He is the guy…for better or worse.  4 is OUR guy.  I can’t understand how he doesn’t have more cheerleaders in here.  He is exactly what we been hunting for.  I get it…he doesn’t have pedigree.  All he does is ball.  Kinda like when buddy ryan cut Chris carter bc all he did was catch tds

Ironically a lot of it is from people who defend Chase Young at all costs that don’t want to believe in Heinicke.

Folks place a lot of faith in pedigree.  So much so that a QB from ODU, our QB, is getting ran thru the ringer for what he can’t do.  But all he does is ball out and give us opportunities to win.  But he doesn’t have pedigree.
lots of jags in this league with pedigree on practice squads or riding the bench.

once you’re in the league, pedigree doesn’t mean squat.  Show and prove.  That’s right…show and prove.  Believe your eyes.  4 is legit.  99 could take a lesson or two from 4.  Be yourself…ball out…playing in the nfl is a privilege that can be taken at a moments notice.  4 gets that.  99?…it’s a privilege not a right.  Ball out 99…play err play like it may be your last.

  10. Dude took advantage of his position.  Nobody notices when you skim a lil err now and then.  Well…jus when you think nobody is still watchin, Feds in masks show up to ruin your plan.  This isn’t on the WFT.  Matter of fact, I’d bet RR was interviewed and played a role to ID this dude.

as a retired fed, this is my final answer

  11. Too much talent for our defense not to be schematically effective.  I’m not sure what JDR is doin…he obviously has the pedigree, but his unit is way underproducing.  Almost thinking too much out there instead of being dogs and chasing that ball.  May be time for JDR to seek employment elsewhere

Did you just watch the same 40+ trashing we did?   We are no where near perennial.....not even on that path right now.

Sure did.  Watched the whole game.  Buffalo is one of the toughest away games.  And they have probably the best QB in the game.  We had turnovers, which you expect in that environment, that set the tone early and continued throughout.

our defense is a problem right now.  Too much talent and not enough production.  That tells me scheme or not buy in to scheme.  We need to figure that out but I subscribe to scheme being an issue.

pulling a team up from the deep doldrums doesn’t happen as quickly as we’d love to think.  And we’re not as close as we were led to think.  That said….the team atmosphere has changed…we are building to suit an atmosphere…we have tons of young talent and draft capital.

we’re doin this the right way.  Lumps create character.  I love our team.  We’re building.  Still an off-season or 2 away.

btw…since this is actually a #4 thread….I love our QB and what he did today.  He made some incredible plays…and he left some plays out there.  Gonna happen in Buffalo.  Give that team credit.  They’re who were gonna be in 2 seasons if not sooner
