    Lot of division reference McCarthys talent level, regardless, there are a number of teams in the hunt for that second tier QB in this draft and I think we will see a lot of interest causing these guys including McCarthy to move up. I think this draft is going to see a lot more trades than recent years.

    Yeah OT is still a huge need. Interestingly, listening to Paulson with Hoffman he talked about guard still being a need. Said he likes Allegretti, tough guy, high effort, but rates him about the same level as Schweitzer, thinks of him more as a swing guard and we should still be looking for a starter at guard.

    When you think about it, going by probable starter material in the draft being the first 3 rounds. Not considering possible trades etc. we could easily have 5 starters from this draft class. QB, T, and then BPA at G, Corner, WR, TE. FA has really opened this draft up for us. I get that

    In a weird sort of way Im not worried about this FO making LT a priority. They will find someone, might not be ideal based on what's available, ultimately they may wait until the draft, but unlike previous years I know that they realize its a big need and they will address it. Sounds like common sense but that's not what we had here previously. All of this incredibly deep analysis by me is just based on what we have seen the past couple of days.

    I dont know why I laughed at this because its not funny in and of itself, but it kind of is...in a really good way.

    Seems like every new DC starts out saying how aggressive they are going to be...I actually believe this group will be.

    Kind of like the masked singer, just before kickoff of the first game the QB runs to mid field, takes off his extra large helmet to reveal the new starting QB.

    Hypothetical...if Howell were to be drafted this year, everyone knowing the type of QB he currently is, where would he be drafted?

    I like Howell as our backup better than Mariotta also but Hoffman made the point of do you get what you can for him now as opposed to later when he walks for free with a chance to be a starter somewhere? Or If our rookie QB gets hurt or struggles and Howell outperformed Mariotta in camp (which I personally can see happening) then he certainly has a lot of value to us. Interesting dynamic.

    If we could somehow find a LT in FA that would make the draft wide open for us (after QB).

    How in the hell do they have any money left? This is ridiculous! and I wouldnt be surprised if they have 3 first rounders in this draft.
