  1. For pant stripes, I'd go even simpler. I'd put a single burgundy stripe down the gold pants and single gold stripe down the burgundy pants.
  2. I'd revamp the current concept, but just make it slightly more modern. Maybe darken the burgundy some, touch up the stripes you want on the pants/sleeves, etc. Do soemthing to make everything consistent regardless of which combinations they wear. I love the Indian head logo...it brings me back to the 1980s and my youth watching championship teams. Not liking it would be akin to thinking Santa Claus is too fat, in my opinion. So, keep it, but just clean it up. Go with: Burgundy/Gold at home White/Burgundy on the road Have both versions of the throwbacks (I love last year's but could also deal with the spear helmet versions) so that you can wear those either at home (burgundy) or on the road (white) during Thanksgiving weekend. Done.
  3. DH, I like that plan overall. The only problem is that you can't always guarantee that you'll wear white for all 8 road games. Some teams choose to wear white due to heat or superstition.
  4. I really hope that they start wearing those (last year's) one game every year. Maybe around Thanksgiving. I actually think that the NFL should have all teams wear throwbacks on Thanksgiving weekend. It just feels right.
  5. I've always been intrigued by the Dark Tower books. For those who have read it, do you think it would be better to do so prior to seeing the movie?
  6. The team really needs to wear an alternate jersey (preferably last year's throwbacks) every season. A lot of teams (Dallas, Pittsburgh, San Diego, etc.) have a throwback that they wear once or twice per season. Just knowing that the throwback was in the rotation would make it a pretty cool thing even if they don't wear them often.
  7. Ellis, I agree. That really shows how tricky that thing is to spot. Wow.
  8. I found the cat...took about a minute. I too think I got a little lucky.
  9. I would love to see that. Maybe we wear our throwbacks on Thanksgiving weekend (I actually think all teams should wear throwbacks that weekend) and one other home game earlier in the year.
  10. I would like them to keep burgundy, gold, and the throwbacks (ditching the white for now). I would love these throwbacks to be the once- or twice-per-year uniforms for a while. It seems like some teams have the same ones that they wear each season (Dallas, Pittsburgh, etc.).
  11. Nothing like tempting your customers to commit to you long term by charging them an extra buck per month to do so.
  12. The colors are perfect and the inverse helmet/logo idea (gold helmet with burgundy border for our logo) is pretty nice. My preference would be to ditch the triangle patterns on the sleeves and pants and probably ditch the feathers. If anything, replace the triangle stripes on the pants with a single feather down each side and go with subdued or no sleeve stripes.
  13. Are we allowed to keep the throwbacks as an alternate uniform for every season? I'd be all over that to keep these as our regular throwbacks to wear a time or two each year.
  14. Yes, but pointing out negative streaks this year has generally resulted in the Redskins ending them.
  15. I'm hoping we can break another streak this year...our run of playing horribly in throwbacks. The last win we have had in a throwback uniform must have been a game in 2002. As for modernizing our uniforms, no thanks. I despise what the Vikings, Falcons, and Lions have done. I'd prefer that we do something closer to what the New York teams did recently and re-imagine a traditional uniform.
  16. It's funny...if you really look at it, I would bet we have a wretched record in throwbacks. We wore them in 1994 (not sure if it was every game or not) and finished the season 3-13 so I assume we were pretty bad in them. We wore them on and off in 2002 and finished 7-9 (not horrible). We wore them in a loss against the Giants in 2007. We wore them in a loss against the Panthers earlier this year. Oh well, I'm sure there's nothing to it, but it's interesting.
  17. Seeing some tweets which imply that we might not be wearing the throwbacks this Monday night...hopefully we do wear them again!
