  1. How about the fans in Hawaii? They'll be hearing the pick at 3:30.
  2. There's been talk that Washington might try to trade back into the first round if conditions are right. Like I said, lots to watch.
  3. Even though we'll know Washington's pick before 8:30, making it an early night, there is still a lot of interesting things that will happen in the first round.
  4. Great news and long deserved. Darrell Green was "Mr. Redskin" when he was playing and is still one of the greatest cornerbacks, not just in Washington history, but in NFL history. Congrats #28.
  5. Yeah, I think there are a number of Washington fans who see Daniels and his lean, lanky frame and get nightmares of RG3 splaying and tumbling in the pocket like a crash test dummy when a 280lb defensive player hit him. I don't know a whole lot about Daniels, so I don't know if he is as dumb in the pocket as RG3 was. RG3 seemed to literally run into pressure instead of away from it. Daniels might not be that way.
  6. It's understandable. All the QBs we have a chance at this Thursday are all great prospects, but also all of them have their issues as well. There is no "sure thing" for Washington to select at the #2 spot. For me, I'm just waiting to see and trusting the process of our new brain trust to use all of the information they have in hand to make a wise decision.
  7. Exactly two weeks from this time now, we'll know who Washington's pick at #2 is (unless they trade down). The anticipation is building up. So is the tension.
  8. I don't know about that. Parsons is a very good player, but if all the stories about him being a head case and a diva and a real problem are true, then we would be transferring Dallas' issues to us. I mean, Parsons must be a real flake if he is as good as he is and Jones still wants to get rid of him. If these reports are accurate. With the new owner and new GM we have trying to rebuild this franchise back to greatness after the black hole of the Snyder years, I don't think they need the headache of Micah Parsons.
  9. Wishing all of ES a very happy Easter Sunday.
  10. True, but it's Rivera who piled his plate that high. He wanted all that position and power. Rather than strengthen his steering of the team, it actually diminished it because he had too much on his hands so that coaching just became one of the side jobs. I'm glad the new regime thinks differently.
  11. It's just stunning that the players Ron Rivera acquired in the draft just four years ago are all gone. None of them are here anymore. That's unbelievable, and a sad commentary on what the team was like. ☹️
  12. What it comes down to is if Washington does select a QB at #2, whether it is Maye or Daniels, they will be getting an excellent prospect, but one that has had problems in their game and isn't a home run hit coming out of the gate. I like what this team has done in the offseason so far, and it has given me confidence that they will make a good choice at pick #2. Whether it's pick a QB, somebody else, or trade down.
  13. Why simmer down? It's mid March. This is the time of year optimism is at its peak. Let us enjoy it until reality sets in in August when the preseason games start.
