HapHaszard
I was going thru some of my Redskins junk and ran across the 1991 Press Guide. It sure brought back some fond memories. Here are a few facts from the Guide on Jeff Bostic, center. If this is of any value to the group I'll add more players as time passes. Career Highlights Pro Bowl 1983 His 148 games as a Redskin is 14th on the club's all time list Jeff has started all 16 playoff games under Joe Gibbs Jeff was signed as a free agent in 1980. 1990 Season From start to finish, Jeff's 11th NFL season was one of his best. Not only did he start every game for the second year in a row, "Bosco's" leadership and experience game the Redskins an additional coach on the field. "Jeff meant a good deal to the offensive line", said offensive line coach Jim Hanifan. "He gave us great leadership, Jeff made alll the line calls and he really did an exceptional job of handling the offensive line every week" It was his key block that sprung Jeff Rutledge on his 12 yard touchdown run that tied the Lions in Week 8 with just :18 seconds left in the game. In the stretch run to the playoffs, it was Jeff and his fellow "Hogs" who carried the team on their shoulders. In that stretch run, the Redskins boasted the second-best rushing offense in the league averaging 176.2 yards on the ground.. Prior to the start of the season, Jeff was awarded the :Nate Fine Memorial Award" at the Redskins Alumni Welcome Home Luncheon which is given to a layer completely dedicated to the Redskins and the game of football. "He epitomizes the Redskins" says Hanifan.

Darth Tater
Must be talking about the stretch run because we were 5th in rushing in 1990 averaging just below 130 ypg.
