I dont see that at all, beal is a compliment player for sure, but no way you can make him durant or curry, or porzinges, or lebron... You cant build a team around him, you add him to a team on cusp.

You are right but there is so much eye evidence in both hurricane strength, wildfire, flooding, that we cant keep ignoring it. Maybe we are in a cycle, but the fact we keep being as warm or if not setting records has to have something to do with it. And ill give you Tornadic activity was down this year, but also could be result of this trend in difference in ground temp vs air temp is not as much.

Is there any thought we can actually compete in this sport with the big boys. I say no, outside of football umd rocks in almost every other sport, volleyball, baseball, soccer ect... This is why I was so pissed about choice, how much damage did they just do to all the things we are actually good at. I love taking my daughter to girls basketball games, she loves it, and they do some many cool things to involve her in the experience, But it helps they are a national powerhouse.... not sure it would be as cool to be medicore, because of dumb ass football... We are a basketball school. Both girls and boys...Lets embrace what we are and not try to chance alabama

Thanks, sorry for your loss, it's hard to lose them. I will say and you can even see in this picture, be very careful about what you punt in your lawn. I had a grass eater, and she died pretty early for a pug with mouth cancer. I directly relate this to the chemicals I was having put down to make the lawn pretty that was told were safe. I no longer believe they are and refrain from doing it now.

Someone need to speak out, not sure i really care about the politics of it... Im sure there are many respectable people on that board, so not like he hired Larry, Moe and Curly. I have no idea what the hell went wrong here, its unfathomable so im not ready to bring politics into it. And as a democrat it's not like he is terrible, hes done some good things, others i dont agree with, but think thats likely the sign of probably doing a fairly good job.

Managed to win and play in 2 national championships without selling our souls, not to mention the minor sports champions and constantly being in competition for championships. And we reward ourselves with being d-bags over football, which we will never be good at. So mind numbing, and embarrassing.

Not to mention this is the second time we find out the AD is incompetent with successive hires. Im not sure holding the interim AD, now full time AD is necessary, but my preference would be they are all gone. It screams institutional failure. And apparently goes all the way up to the board...

Absolutely, they should keep that public meeting, and make them be transparent. As Marylander's, and alum we are entitled to know how the process worked and how they came to such an outlandish conclusion.

The entire board should be replaced, I hope those with the real donor money make this fact known and happen. We are not a University that puts a childs game above what the real intention is. This should be sent loud and clear.

I'm an alum and a fan of UMD since I was a child. I have been touting UMD to my daughter since she was old enough to listen. My wife, sister, sister in law, aunt, father in law are all also alums.I couldn't me more outraged at the decision that was made. I cant fathom how they can justify this decision. How could they not deduce the extreme backlash and PR nightmare they have now created. It's unbelievably frustrating....
