Skins24
This time on Redskins.com In 1937, the team moved to Washington, D.C., to begin its reign as The Nation’s Team. (did they get paid to put that in? :deal: ) redskins.com
Terry
Uh oh, it's starting to look like they are gonna promote it that way. Crap!
OrangeSkin
hehe...perhaps a crack at Snyder? But seriously, I don't think the nations team tag is that preposterous. We are the second most lucrative sports franchise in the world, every 'Skins game (home and away) will be sold out next season because everybody wants to get a glimpse of the Fun 'N Gun, and Steve Spurrier's face will be plastered on the cover of virtually every national football publication. Terry
I dunno Bufford, I think that Redskins.com is the official team website and is one of it's public mouthpieces. If they are using Nation's Team, then it's a management decision. And likely there's a reason, a marketing one.
@DCGoldPants
It's only one line in an article about the 70 Greatest Players. Yesterday the team shot down that they were going to use that title for themselves. This isn't Dallas calling themselves America's Team. If it were then it would of not been in the last sentence. TennesseeCarl
I believe I'm with Terry on this. It's a gutless, 'me too' marketing ploy. I take it that Snyder's figured that since we can't beat the Cowboys, we'll imitate them. Great...just great.
@DCGoldPants
I think if it were something, we've of read it more than once by now.
