Walking Deadman
Just an FYI for the Mcfarlane collectors out there. I personally would have like to have seen Edwards or Williams (with a college variant to go with their NFL team but that's my op.) http://www.spawn.com/news/news6.aspx?id=12571 NFL SERIES 11 DRAFT PICK PLAYER NAMED TO LINEUP Rookie QB Aaron Rodgers to get his own Action Figure April 1, 2005 The 2005 NFL season truly kicks off on April 23rd, when the NFL Draft adds hundreds of talented college players to the ranks of the 32 professional teams. McFarlane Toys gets a draft pick this year, too -- we've saved a slot in this summer's NFL 11 series for one of the top-rated draft prospects. Last year, we planned ahead and had a two-pack scheduled with Peyton Manning and his soon-to-be-drafted little brother Eli. This year our schedule has moved up a bit, with our Draft Pick figure being a part of our first regular series. Time is a factor, so we needed to choose a player last week -- a full month before he's drafted to his team. We're hoping to land the first player drafted and gauging the scouts' predictions we've decided to make our selection. "With the first pick of the 2005 NFL Draft, McFarlane Toys selects ... Aaron Rodgers, quarterback, University of California." Rodgers is projected to be the first quarterback taken in the draft and quite possibly the top overall selection. Rodgers helped turn Cal into a national power in his senior season, completing 67.5 percent of his passes while throwing for 2,320 yards with 23 touchdowns vs. seven interceptions. Rodgers led Cal to a 10-1 regular season, but a BCS snub relegated the Bears to a Holiday Bowl berth against Texas Tech. At 6'2", 223 pounds Rodgers has the size to compete in the NFL. We're just waiting to see which team he'll lead into the future. He joins our NFL 11 lineup, which also includes: TIKI BARBER, New York Giants running back BEN ROETHLISBERGER, Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback JOE HORN, New Orleans Saints wide receiver RANDY MOSS, Oakland Raiders wide receiver WILLIS McGAHEE, Buffalo Bills running back WILLIE ROAF, Kansas City Chiefs offensive tackle TOM BRADY, New England Patriots quarterback JULIUS JONES, Dallas Cowboys running back NFL 11 is due in stores in early September. LaVar will be a Mcfarlane this year as well in series #12 coming in November......Maybe Taylor will be in the 2006 line!!!!
gridironmike
I knew about the Arrington figure. How in the heck does Julius Jones get produced before a Lavar Arrington does?

Spaceman Spiff
I hope Aaron Rodgers sucks. It's rediculous that they're giving a kid who hasn't even been drafted yet his own figure.
gridironmike
Originally posted by Brave He's a #!@*! Cowboy ... that's how! :dallasuck My point exactly. He's done nothing compared to Arrington at this point.
