semiskin
this is the best thing for our team. Danny's overspending the past four years (as much as it was appreciated at the time) is the reason we weren't able to resign Smoot and Pierce, and now we must pay the consequences. Gibbs learned from his mistakes last offseason, while Danny didn't learn a thing from the 2000 FA debacle. This is the begining of a new era for the Redskins and the end of a bad one, a very bad one, one which was filled with coaches being fired, over the hill players being signed, cuts, and massive cap hits. Which is why I don't undertsand why people are so mad around here, let's face it, we've sucked doing it Danny's way. Danny needed this, the Redskins needed this, and we the fans needed this. Here's to the end of overspending and underachieving and to the begining of the Joe Gibbs years Part II.
SkinFaninOKC
Danny Boy cares very deeply for the Redskins, but I don't believe for a second the overspending has stopped. Wait until next season. Danny Boy is feeling left out and will want to throw his name in the ring next season.

Dallsux
All teams eventually deal with some sort of cap troubles & casualties. I also think that Snyder wants what's best for this team, just like Gibbs. The difference is that Gibbs knows more about what he's doing then Snyder does. Gibbs will make Snyder a better & smarter owner, if he hasn't already.
