ENGLEWOOD, COLORADO (TICKER) -- For linebacker Ian Gold, you can go home again.

After playing last season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Gold signed Thursday with the Denver Broncos, the team with which he spent the first four seasons of his career.

In 2004, Gold played all 16 games for Tampa Bay, making 13 starts. He was third on the team in tackles with 120 and had one interception.

A second-round pick out of Michigan in 2000, Gold was Denver's top special teams player in 2001, earning a Pro Bowl selection. The following season, he became a starter and recorded a career-high 166 tackles and 6.5 sacks.

In another move Thursday, the Broncos re-signed guard Ben Hamilton.

Entering his fifth season, the 6-4, 283-pound Hamilton has started all 48 regular-season games he has appeared in for Denver. Last season, he did not miss a snap and helped the Broncos set a franchise record for fewest sacks allowed in a season at 15.
