jenmdixon Posted June 19, 2004 Share Posted June 19, 2004 Hubby's company gave us free tickets to Atlanta for the weekend, so he and I are flying to ATL then heading to Auburn University at oh-dark-thirty tomorrow morning so he can show me his alma mater. (Gee, I can't wait to head somewhere HOT - but I digress). Do any of our Atlanta-based and Alabama-based brothers/sisters here have any quick suggestions for eating out? Dan T. Posted June 19, 2004 Share Posted June 19, 2004 Jen, a cheap but fun burger and fries joint near the Georgia Tech campus is the Varsity Grill. It's an Atlanta institution. Nothing fancy at all, but a lively atmosphere. "What'll ya have? What'll ya have? shout the counter workers. Order a plain hot dog to go, and they call out "Naked Dog Walkin' !".
