@DCGoldPants
Poor NBA.........they think this is good for the league....then when the ratings come out for the finals, they'll be scratching their heads "Why isn't anybody watching?" Then again.....It won't be as funny as the articles where Malone and Gary should of just paid Kobe and Shaq for their rings instead of pretending to of had a lot to do with winning them. Its over....its boring.....

@DCGoldPants
The NFL is everything the NBA isn't. You make it sound like watching the Lakers play Frostburg State would be fun. No......having teams that are close is sweet...especially in a game where you have to win a series. Best of 7......please. The Announcers last night were shocked that the Refs swallowed their whistles in the begining. Sad Sad State of the game.
McMetal
I totally agree with Bufford. Lakers are BAD for basketball. All the suspense expired when they beat the Spurs in that pivotal Game 5. People want competitive, entertaining basketball. You can argue it's not the Lakers fault that the competition isn't any better, but it's not going to get any better when A) they get ALL the calls and aging All-Stars keep loading them up for more title runs. It's just getting tiresome. All the excitement is in the early rounds now.
TC4
I like the comment that Charles Barkley made after the game three of the T-Wolves/Lakers series about game 2 of the Pistons/Pacers series He commented that the commentators over on ESPN kept on talking about what great defense both teams were playing, and Barkley commented that it wasn't great defense, just crappy offense The problem with the NBA is just a good old fashion lack of talent. If the NFL is able to maintain their rule about players having to be at least three years out of high school before they can be drafted, watch, the NBA and the NBA players union will do what Micheal Wilbon and Tony Kornhiser have talked about before on PTI on ESPN, they will impose a minimum age of 20 years old on players who wish to declare for the NBA Draft, and that will force all these high school kids to go to college at least 2 years before they can turn pro, and that will not only help the NBA but also the NCAA, because then all the best high schooler will not go right into the NBA
