Veteran players who make the opening day roster have their contracts guaranteed at that point. Which I applies to Pringle, but not Crowder, I believe. But I think each of them are on minimum salaries, so you wouldn't really save anything. Or if you did, it would be like the prorated version of a hundred thousand or something.
