Giants coach for seven seasons, got a SB appearance sandwiched between two mediocre seasons, and reportedly almost became Redskins coach twice, one before Snyder pulled the Gibbs rabbit out of the hat, and then after Gibbs left, a negative fan reaction reportedly led to Snyder pulling Fassel from consideration, and we wound up with Zorm, who Fassel had picked to be OC. Riggo-toni Posted June 10, 2021 Share Posted June 10, 2021 (edited) I was not enthusiastic about potentially hiring him, but had Snyderatto done so we would have avoided Zorn, Shamahan, and Brucifer, even if it meant Vinny Bugeyes hanging around for an extra couple years. It was a helluva accomplishment getting the 2000 Giants to the SB because quite frankly, they were mediocre talent-wise.
