Art Posted December 23, 2001 Share Posted December 23, 2001 This game was one there for the taking, not unlike a week ago, and again, Banks didn't make a play. In order to have any confidence in the starting quarterback, you have to have a player with the ability to make a play when the team needs it. I've been hopeful Banks would show enough to be an adequate fill in for us, and while he is adequate when things are breaking right, he is a problem if we need any production from his spot at all. We have components to be competitive, but, we need a player at the quarterback position who has SOME hope of making a play when everything isn't perfect and he has to create a little on his own.
