Silvernon
Aside from the 'quarter' defense, the Redskins were using 4-down lineman throughout the Eagles game. I have not watched as many games this year as the rest of this forum likely has, so fill me in: Are the Redskins a 43 defense? 2016 Outlook LE - Ryan Kerrigan/Trent Murphy NT - Chris Baker UT - Stephen Paea, Ricky Jean-Francois RE - Preston Smith SLB - ? MLB - Will Compton WLB - Keenan Robinson CB - Bashaud Breland SS - Duke IhanachoFS - DeAngelo Hall CB - Chris Culliver We've seen the strategy of long and physical corners take hold with Culliver and Dunbar added this year, necessitating the transition of Hall to FS this season (to see if it's an option for next season). Paea was best as a pass-rushing UT in Chicago and Murphy has some potential as a LE if he can add the weight, or a lesser option as a SLB. Kerrigan could play either position. If Galette returns, you have a potential Marcus Washington type of impact from SLB. What say you: Are we seeing the end of the 34 defense in Washington? Warhead36
Were still a 3-4 base, but Philly uses a lot of spread out 3-4 WR looks in which case you have to go Nickel or something more traditional. 3-4 vs. 4-3 nowadays doesn't mean much since most teams go 3 wide and you're in Nickel like half the time anyway.
